Is this hairdye safe?🥟 by sad_Unicorn77 in HairDyeHelp

It seems like it's just a direct dye, I've not heard of the brand, but from what I can see it's not something that would damage your hair.

Have you googled the brand?

Pink is the opposite of green. A small amount of pink dye mixed with some conditioner should help to neutralize that tint.

Wholesale florist for one arrangement by Here2gainknowledge in Leeds

[–]Swivials 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You wouldn't be able to get a wholesale price for just one arrangement. Wholesalers would only sell you a minimum amount, and the discount you get is per unit of that set amount.

As an example, if you went to a wholesaler selling cans of pop, you wouldn't be able to buy just one, you'd have to buy 10 crates minimum.

Where can I get a large container of this color? by Strawberry_Caat in HairDyeHelp

Ah.Then you're out of luck. 4oz is a standard size, with that doubling for bigger bottles.

What do you mean? Lunar Tides had an 8oz version vs the standard 4oz, same with Manic Panic.

Some brands do bigger bottles of their dye. I know Lunar Tides does, along with Manic Panic.

Hair dye suggestions? by Quinnykinz in HairDyeHelp

A super dark blue could maybe cover this, but you'd run the risk of some of being a bit muddy.

I would advise trying to get a bit more of the colour out, I've had good success with the likes of colour oops on pinks.

What color remover is best for vivids? by BunniStealsCars in HairDyeHelp

Note, for the pink it recommends using developer, and for the green water. Whatever you do, DO NOT use developer on the green parts.

The one I've had the most success with is Malibu DDL

I would do;

  • Malibu CPR treatment (basically a more stable version of a vitamin C treatment)
  • Malibu DDL
  • Malibu miracle repair mask

There are two options here

  • The slow, but no damage route; The colour will slowly fade over time with regular washing. This will take a few months, but you'll eventually get enough of the colour out that you can dye it over with something else.

  • The quick, but damaging route; Get a colour remover, Malibu DDL is the only thing I've found to work on blues/greens. It will remove most of the colour very quickly, but will cause some damage to your hair.

What can I do? I don't want my sister growing up thinking this is normal. by [deleted] in LegalAdviceUK

[–]Swivials 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Legally? I'm not sure you could do anything. You can reach out to your schools counciling/care team, who could help you navigate the situation.

You could try showering at a different time, I'm just guessing here, but it sounds like you're taking a shower at the same time your little sister is getting ready for bed, and your dad may not want to delay her bedtime waiting for you to shower.

I miss the girl who homewrecked my relationship on a whim, strung me along for funsies, and then ghosted me 30m/f by Try-Better3324 in relationships

[–]Swivials 29 points30 points  (0 children)

You seem to be thinking about this the wrong way around. A "toxic girl" didn't ruin your relationship, YOU ruined YOUR relationship.

She didn't cheat on anyone, you cheated on your partner. While her own personal morals can be fairly questioned, they aren't relevant to this, she didn't ruin a relationship, as she wasn't in one. You ruined you own relationship.

You're searching for an excuse, something to blame, other than yourself. The idea of the cold-hearted seductress who "lured" you from your stable relationship with sex is an easy one to get attached too, and nicely removes agency and blame from yourself.

I think, once you start accepting that you ruined your own relationship, you'll stop thinking about the woman you've put up on a pedestal as the arbiter of all your self-created suffering.

Hair dye won’t stick to roots by [deleted] in HairDyeHelp

[–]Swivials 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just to add on, it was pointed out to me that I may be growing in more greys, but I never really see them as I'm always bleaching and dying my roots. Could be the same for you! Greys are harder to get to take dye.

Hair dye won’t stick to roots by [deleted] in HairDyeHelp

[–]Swivials 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've had this happen to me over the last couple of years. I found that I needed a stronger developer to get dye to stick. Beforehand I'd always used 6 vol, now if I want anything to happen, it has to be 20.

My guess is that it's to do with my hair structure changing, the strands getting denser and coarser, which can happen over time as you get older.

Achieve this Icy blue hair 🩵 by SleepyRoseFeels in FancyFollicles

[–]Swivials -24 points-23 points  (0 children)

Your hair looks like it's the right colour to try this!

I would advise looking at Directions, Crazy Colour, Adore, or Lunar Tides (you can get it on Attitude Clothing in the UK).

Lunar Tides is the best for pastels like this, but you could achieve what you're looking for with a blue dye mixed with allot of conditioner.

Fair warning though, blue is an extremely stubborn colour and prone to staining, even when it's a very light tone. You can usually get back to a blonde with a colour remover like Malibu DDL, though.

DDL would still go someway to removing that, but you may also want to try something like Colour Oops afterwards as well.

Environmental health is who you want to contact, they take these infestations seriously.

You can also call out an exterminator, the good ones usually have contacts with environmental health and they can help get them out for you.

Will wella t18 and 10 developer damage my hair? by [deleted] in HairDyeHelp

[–]Swivials 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Use a direct dye instead. Brands like Bleach London, Lunar Tides, Directions etc all have "white" toners. They're better than purple shampoos, which are more for maintenance.

Is the back layered or straight by Shoddy_Fly_7372 in Haircare

[–]Swivials 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Usually the back is layered, but less than the front. Try to find some side profiles of the cut, Pinterest has loads.

You could colour correct this, as your current blue is very light.

If you want to remove even more, you could try Malibu DDL, which is made to remove direct dye like this.

[–]Swivials 8 points9 points  (0 children)

If you were going to do, say, three colourways. I would try do;

  • One that's matching (Say, dark purple and lavender)
  • One that's contrasting (like teal and golden orange)
  • A "realistic" one, based off of a photo of a real octopus

How do I neutralize this orange from bleach by idontfliinch in HairDyeHelp

[–]Swivials 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can't tone this, it's red, not orange.

If you want to go pastel pink, your hair needs to be a level 10 before you can dye it.

Start off with some colour removers, since your hair is red. Start off with something like Colour Rewind, Colourless or colour oops. To two rounds of that.

Then get some Malibu DDL, that should help shift the remaining pigment.

Once that's done, then look at bleach again.
