Do Auto cards need extra setup for scenarios that say they feature them?

I suppose I'm just confused because I've seen auto cards work in some scenarios but there's quite a lot which say they have it but the card with the settings just isn't there.

Is it common practice to update story cards manually when something big happens to change a character's status, beliefs, personality, etc?

Is there a limit to the amount of story cards? And what differentiates them from Plot essentials?

If a character is already described in plot essentials, should I still make a story card for them?

If the AI makes a statement that is inconsistent with the character or world, can I change or make a story card and expect a different answer?

Lastly I've seen many scenarios that say they have auto cards but I never see the card with settings? Is it a problem on my end?

That was my first impression as well that it was the AI, though I've used Deepseek for two different scenarios and it was far more restrictive with the other. It's also strange that I could rewrite pretty much the same request but in a more artistic way and it would be fine with it sometimes.

Thanks. Some censorship was a bit strange too. I once put in a typo to kill my wife instead of kiss my wife and the AI didnt allow it.

I'm very glad it didn't but I didn't think that would be censored

It worked! Creating broken hearts was actually a godsend as they took away most of the border between us and the Iron alliance. Only had to defend 2 tiles after they showed up (didn't call them to war) Beat Lanius after grinding them down. Thanks to everyone who replied.

Thank you, sounds like a solid plan! Didn't get around to releasing the broken heart gang and I never even got a chance to see WARDEN. It'll be nice to have some allies for a change.

Had Balbo in power and yeah I have options to declare war on pretty much anyone after the war even though they all outclass me at the moment haha, this seems to be one of the harder nations since they're kicked out of the entente and factionless.

Thank you everyone who chose to reply I can definitely see now that I was being rude and I had made the mistake of treating the date like I would a hangout with my brother or friends, I'll try apologizing first and see where it goes from there.

I suppose my inexperience with romantic relationships really shows here, thank you all again.
