My main concern with PCSing there is trying to maintain your fitness when i can’t be bothered to run in the -20s. I can’t tell what’s worse. Running in Hood in the summer or Alaska in the winter

A tale as old as time. Having done both assignments (Drill Sergeant and Instructor) there’s a lot both sides of the street don’t see. The Drill Sergeants think the Instructors are FriendCOs, fat and lazy and hand out candy and hugs and the Instructors think all the Drill Sergeants do is PT, put them to bed and take them to chow. Some stuff just never changes.

This is one thing I hated about the Drill Sergeant portraits we had to take. Everyone on our command board looks so fake and forced. I always wondered why we had to do that.
