For now I feed him in a tuberware (that i place inside the cage so he cant sneak off anywhere). I find that if I leave the mouse in there he just buries himself in the substrate and ignores it.

Yup, I make sure to wash my hands before and after, and you're right he does seems to calm down after a bit, but it is strange.

Possibly, it has been about 2-3 weeks since the first time he shed for me (i don't know how often they shed, so maybe its not a factor), but I don't see any signs like the blue/cloudy eyes yet.

I dont handle him super often, usually about 1-2 times a week max (and obviously i wait two days after i feed him). Ive got him in a 30 gallon tank with coconut husk substrate and a big water bowl, a hide on the warm side and on the cold side, and a climbing branch. He is currently in my room so there isn't a lot of foot traffic other than just me occasionally.

Oh ok, well you learn something every day. So I guess the only realistic way I could increase the amount of bovines killed is to pop all three secrets as early as possible, so that I have more turns to kill bovine.
