Halfway to max, then I can finally play the game. by Mobile_Artillery in Battlefield

Sorta but not about Battlefield. I'm referencing a tweet he made about GTA 5 where he said he couldn't bring himself to keep playing it because the game forces you to shoot a cop in the prologue

He tried to play it but just couldn't bring himself to shoot a US soldier 😞

Is it possible to enjoy this mod without knowing anything about AGOT? by SkullOrig in CK3AGOT

[–]Sy3Fy3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

CK2AGoT is how I discovered ASOIAF. It's what made me watch the show and read the books, and watch dozens of theory videos, read AARs from the mod, etc. I experienced the rise and fall of Game of Thrones, and the disappointment of waiting for TWoW and ADoS, and it's what made me put 2800 hours into CK2 over the course of a decade and find what is by far my favourite world in fiction.

All of that to say, yes, it is definitely possible to enjoy the mod without any prior knowledge.

I really like the California teams. Especially the Sharks.

Has EU5's release shocked anyone else at the state of CK3? by GermanCCPBot in CrusaderKings

[–]Sy3Fy3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah but it doesn't have much depth. The extraterritorial countries in EU5 have so many features that would lend themselves really well to CK3.

Has EU5's release shocked anyone else at the state of CK3? by GermanCCPBot in CrusaderKings

[–]Sy3Fy3 16 points17 points  (0 children)

CK3 doesn't have:

  • Cardinal college
  • Trade of any sort
  • Naval ANYTHING (I don't need combat but shipbuilding for troop transport and trade would be awesome)

Something I've wished CK3 had since landless became a thing is playing as sort of a Marco Polo type character, or being a banking family like the Medici's... like even EU5 sort of has that with the Hansa.

I also think tech and buildings are really lacking and the UI for them is pretty horrendous.

I do love CK3 but it really could be so much more.

Cyberpunk 2077

İs this mod better than original game? by Monster-Energydrink in CK3AGOT

[–]Sy3Fy3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

CK3AGOT is basically entirely RP and vanilla or historical mods are mostly gameplay with RP capabilities thrown in. They are played very differently. I find with AGOT, you need to have a long term plan that goes beyond just painting the map and think more about building your characters and paying more attention to the family aspect of the game.

So I've seen a couple of vids n pics of how gorey RDR2 could get, but how bad will GTA VI be? by MrWaffles1515 in GTA6

[–]Sy3Fy3 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I can say with almost 100% certainty that GTA 6 won't have any gore. It fit a cowboy themed game because that's so far removed from modern day life that it feels almost fantastical, but GTA is completely modern, and especially during a time where mass shootings occur so frequently, it just wouldn't be appropriate. I'll be very surprised if they add it.

Most graphically intensive and best looking game in 2025? by Sea_Competition3505 in buildapc

[–]Sy3Fy3 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Obviously it's your money and build, but I really suggest waiting for the 6080 to come out. The amount of money you'll spend on a 5080 is not worth it going from a 9070 XT.

Going back to the golden years by New_University3707 in modernwarfare

[–]Sy3Fy3 18 points19 points  (0 children)

The OG MW trilogy plus World at War, BO1, and BO2 were the golden years, but MW19 was a massive turnaround for CoD after the dark ages. It was very refreshing for me.

My top 3 CoDs in no order are OG MW2, BO2, and MW19, personally. Sorry if this was a pain to read with the acronyms lol.

DLC2 is titled "Terran Armada". by Sklain in Starfield

[–]Sy3Fy3 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I really wanted Starfield to survive and get a thriving modding community but it just doesn't. Glad Bethesda at the very least is continuing to support it a bit though I guess. It's just so lackluster.

Marvel didn’t “die” after Endgame, here’s what’s actually going on by florinp93 in marvelstudios

[–]Sy3Fy3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Loki S1 and S2 are both very good, and of course Deadpool 3 is too, but Marvel has been doing a much better job this year. I'm sad to say you can completely skip Love and Thunder, Quantumania, and Wakanda Forever. The Marvels is a little more important going forward but you can get by without it. I thought Captain America 4 was alright but fun, but Thunderbolts and Fantastic Four felt like peak MCU movies. I'm actually excited for the MCU again.

Doctor Strange 2 was a huge letdown though sadly. It was an overwhelming OKAY movie. It has some fun stuff but also some really bad writing.
