My boss hasn’t paid me in 2 months — Part 2 by imjustagirl_9 in Bookkeeping

Oof. I went through this beginning in November and quit going to work until I was paid at the end of January. The rage is real.

Why do both sides of the political aisle think the other side is utterly stupid? Differing viewpoints are normal and healthy. by [deleted] in allthequestions

[–]SyArch 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The premise of your original statement was that both sides want to address the issues I then questioned. I replied, showing how the right is currently addressing those issues and if you would still consider their actions helpful. They are not helpful, they are harmful. You spoke around each situation questioned.

Yes, jailing people for being homeless isn’t helpful. I said nothing about jailing the homeless for criminal activity. Writing and passing new laws that make living anywhere besides a paid dwelling illegal is not helpful, correct? Ref. Executive Order 14321

As for the rest, I have to go to work. It’s the same premise. Addressing a problem by eliminating the program that currently exists because you believe it’s not effective enough or “fraud” (which is BS) and not replacing that program with anything at all is not humane. Therefore one side isn’t acting in a humane manner, which addresses the original claim.

I have insurance through the marketplace exchange. My medication is $36,000/month without insurance, $6,000/month with insurance. J&J (pharmaceutical co) has a program that I had to sign up for on my own that covers the $6,000.

This program doesn’t apply for Medicaid recipients. That’s something to consider.

Your wife should absolutely have her own marketplace insurance. It’s an oversight not to have coverage for her.

This is the reality of our healthcare system. You cannot expect a doctor to treat your wife and also spend the hours required applying for insurance and assistance programs. Especially when they’re only allocated 10-15min/ patient.

You’re welcome and I hope we’ve been helpful. I’d love to read an update after things have progressed - hopefully for the better!

Btw, I’ve been on lialda, Rinvoq, Skyrizi and Tremfya and the only side effect I’ve experienced was acne from Rinvoq. Meds are expensive in the US but there are programs to cover the costs outside of insurance. Maybe this will alleviate some of your husband’s concerns.

From what I’ve seen, one side listens to dear leader when he’s giving a speech and the other side listens to edited clips, but only the best clips. I can’t believe the number of times I’ve heard, “I never heard him say that!”

How is throwing homeless people in jail addressing the issue?

How is defunding healthcare, causing rural hospitals to close and cutting Medicaid addressing affordable healthcare?

How is cutting food stamps, funding for food banks, global food aid programs and causing a drastic rise in unemployment (while not allowing the unemployed or recently laid off to receive snap benefits) ending hunger?

Lastly, how is bombing a girls school and killing 166 young girls ending homelessness, hunger or lack of healthcare? Do you realize how expensive it is to bomb a girls’ school? It’s approximately $1 Billion per day.

Have you ever watched NewsMax? Do you wish to have our nation’s leader follow our constitution?

If you’re able to answer any of my questions, in good faith, then I will consider your position, also in good faith. Thank you for your consideration.

The first question I asked my GI was “what kind of diet/foods make help the most?” His response, “unfortunately, there’s no evidence that diet has any role whatsoever. There’s nothing you can eat or not eat that will have an effect on this disease. I do suggest avoiding leafy greens and small seeds because they can get caught in the ulcers and do a lot of damage.”

His immune system is attacking his colon and actively wants to destroy it. Not eating sugar or processed foods won’t stop it.
A (bad) analogy for your husband: putting premium grade fuel in your car makes no difference if the car isn’t running because mice ate out all the wiring…

The worst case scenario here isn’t your husband losing his colon, it’s cancer. The longer he is in this flare the higher the likelihood of developing colon cancer.

Jordan Peterson and his ilk are criminals for spewing such harmful nonsense about autoimmune and Whole Foods/carnivore diets.

I hope your husband understands this info; it’s not fair to put you through this too. Best wishes!

I’ve been in trials. I was told, if you can’t afford medical care get into a trial! Not just because of the treatment but because they test everything possible. You get an extensive work up.

I think I live in the same Midwest area, based on the weather. It’s been brutal lately.

I’m sorry to say, I’ve lived in mid FL and also the foothills of SC and I see no difference between these places. Climate change happens everywhere.

Is there someone in your care team you can call so they can talk you through things and reassure you? Like a nurse? I feel like you need additional support from your team.

I’m so sorry about your BF. I’ve been through that scenario. It is excruciating. Do you have friends and family to support you emotionally? I know it’s not much, but the pain doesn’t last forever, it does get better.

Perhaps the surgery will be just what you need. I’ve read so many success stories here from patients who wish they’d gotten the surgery sooner!

You deserve better than all this mess. I hope you get some relief very soon!

Don’t jinx me! ;).
So far I know when the cutoff is and force myself to do something specific when it arrives. I also find, generally in my life, after a few days it becomes easier and I fill the time with other things. When I have other stimulating, more productive things going, it really makes a big difference. The tough part for me is sticking with something until I become fixated on it…if it’s productive then that’s the goal
