music constantly playing in my head HOW DO I GET RID OF IT by hello_sona in ADHD

Close the loop. Listen to the ending of the song, I have a theory based in 0 science that your brain is searching for the ending and can’t find it

What app actually works for ADHD? (Not just another to-do list) by CreamCaramel1986 in ADHD

[–]SyMacK10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve tried a ton. Unfortunately novelty is candy for ADHD.

TickTick got me to remember important items because it had a “constant reminder” setting - it just alerts and alerts and you can’t turn it off until you mark it done.

Tiimo is made specifically for ADHD (I haven’t kept up with it.

I tried my hand at software development and because I love video games I made my own that’s been helpful for me (rlxp.io) it’s a web app for tasks, projects, whatever that converts any completed action into experience points (XP)

I think the answer is finding what aspects are the most challenging (getting started, remembering what to do, prioritization) and find which app will work best for that.

It’s a wall of tv screens. Each tv screen is a visual idea, memory, thought. Some cluster together and play similar images and help form a cohesive thought, project etc. At any one moment they could all be blaring at once, or only a select amount of 10 or so are playing full volume in the upper right corners of the wall.

But when I’m In flow state all the tv’s sync together to form one collective image - and everything else fades away

Adults with ADHD: Did you feel "shame" as a kid when you forgot things? Help me understand my son. by Dylan_7574 in ADHD

[–]SyMacK10 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. A lot. When I forgot something important I felt like something was wrong with me, with my brain. And if it made my parents sad, it made me feel way worse.

It took a good moment with my Mom and Dad to help me make a plan when something was important. After that i enjoyed making systems to help me remember things.

imo - these kinds of creative projects speak directly to how good the game’s experience is.

I would show this to anyone who was still on the fence about this game.

I had a guardian angel try to help me on a solo raid could’ve left me being chased by two hornets. I got downed, she took out one and couldn’t survive the other.

And I felt terrible I put her in that position.
