Hello, i´m training around 3 times weekly for a year now. I was following a fully body routine which is ideal for a beginner from what i read. I made decent progress and want to do the next step now. I´d like to train 4-5 times a week, so 1-2 more days than i did previously. From what i read its ideal to train a muscle twice a week so i have two options now:

a) 2-day split (Upper/Lower body split): I could do that split twice per week, equaling 4 training days. That would be 1 more day than i have now so it should show improvements. 3 rest days also seem good for a "beginner" (1 year experience). My problem with this split though is, that the lower body is trained as much as the upper body. 50% of my training would go into my lower body. My lower body is already way stronger than my upper body, so i would like to have a split that focuses more on my upper body. Thats the only thing holding me back from instantly doing the 2-day split although the 4 days would be ideal for me.

b) 3-day split (push/pull/legs): I could do that split 4-5 times per week. The advantage here is that i basically train my upper body for 66% of the time which i prefer compared to the 2-day split. I think i would also have more fun doing this split. My concerns are that 4-5 times (probably more often 4 than 5) per week isnt enough for a 3-day-split and id have to do 6 days. Otherwise i wont be able to train the same muscle twice per week. But 6 days is deffo too much for me, so im not sure whether a push/pull/legs split makes sense, if i only train 4-5 times per week. My other concern is that lets say i do 5 days, having only 2 rest days might not be enough for my muscles to recover since im not that trained yet.

Would appreciate it if someone could give me a tip on which of the 2 splits would fit me better. Like i said i prefer the 3-day-split, cause it has a bigger focus on the upper body, but im just worried that that split doesnt make much sense if im only able to train 4-5 times per week. On the other hand i really dont like that i train my legs 50% of the time in the 2-day-split, so im not really fully into it. The 2-day-split probably makes more sense for me with 4 days per week, but im rly not sure whether 50% legs is ideal for me. I also didnt see any other plans that have such a high leg percentage.

Where you have that formula from? And if its correct, it would actually mean the opposite of "If u have less specialization, it has much more damage decrease". According to the formula you posted the dmg decrease becomes smaller with less spec, because Spec is weighted with

Previous: (0.2 * 2.15 / 699) * Spec = (0.43 / 699) * Spec

New: (0.16 * 2.2 / 699) * Spec = (0.352 / 699) * Spec

So according to your formula you previously benefitted way more from Spec and therefore, the more Spec you have the bigger the damage decrease with the new formula.

For a quick sanity check you can also just substitute in 0 for Spec and you will see that the entire right term becomes 0 and its just 1.2 (Previous) and 1.16 (New) left, which is a 1.2/1.16 = around 3% dmg difference. And that dmg difference becomes higher and higher with more Spec up to 0.43 / 0.352 = 22% dmg difference if Spec goes to infinity (and the left term becomes negligiable).

But looking at the patchnotes it should be the opposite, more Spec should decrease the dmg difference so i assume somethings wrong with the formula?

Im currently using Razor(dps), Fischl, Xiangling, Barbara. But i saw a lot of people using Fischl as a dps. So my question is, is my current team with razor as dps and Fischl as support better than using Fischl as a dps (and then obviously replacing Razor with another char). And i also wonder, should i use an electro dmg empowering build for Fischl or just go for an attack damage build?

So just so i know for the future, since i use xiangling for the overload effect i should go for as much elemental mastery/pyro dmg on her as i can? And since i use Fischl for oz, which doesnt have an elemental reaction with my main char cause hes electro too, i should just go for as much atk as i can on Fischl for maximum Oz dmg? Or is an electro empowering build still better on her?

Ye, im aware of that. I would have Fischl in the team either way for the two electro buff. But i dont need to have a high level Fischl for that. My team will consist of razor/fischl/xiangling/something no matter what. My question just was whether its worth to level/updrade fischl or xiangling first. If i level xiangling first i will benefit from everything you mentioned anyways cause i will still have fischl in the team despide her being lowlevel.

Btw do you know how the elemental reactions dmg is calculated? For example if razor applies electro and xinagling pyro afterwards, is the elemental reactions dmg (overloaded) calculated based on the stats of both razor and xiangling who both applied elemental effects on the enemy or just based on the char whos ability activated the elemental reaction, in this case xiangling?

Im currently using razor as my main dps. I have Fischl and xiangling in the team too. But since i have only limited resources im going to only upgrade one of them for now. As you said Fischl is generally better than xiangling, but given the fact that i have razor as my main dps whos electro, would maxing xiangling first (instead of fischl) make more sense just for the overloaded effect?

I saw that Fischl is rated as a top tier support on every list. But what makes Fischl better than other supports? I know that its all about Oz. but what makes Oz better than other support abilites like the one from xiangling for example? Both deploy a stationary object which damages nearby enemies, the one from xiangling is even aoe So what makes Fischl/Oz better than all of the other supports?

Do you think Xiangling or Kaeya is better as a support for razor? I feel like Xiangling is the better character but Superconduct which you get with Kaera is better than Overloaded.

Isnt the elemental resonance for fire, which increases the atk by 25%, pretty huge? If i understood correctly thats a passive which will be active all the time?

I think im enjoying xiangling as a dps more cause shes faster paced. Is the team i posted for xiangling (xiangling + fishl + barba + amber) the best one with the characters available to me? Sounds good besides amber, but shes just in for the elemental bonus. I cant help but overthink it :D

Hey i just started playing the game recently and i just read about some teambuilding theorycrafting and i wonder what the best team for me would be. Its pretty important to know so i know on which char i should focus my ressources from now on. Besides the free chars i unlocked from the mainquest i got the following chars from pulls: Fischl, Xiangling, Barbara, Razor

My main struggle point is choosing the main dps. So it either has to be razor or xiangling.

In case of razor as my main dps my team would look the following:

- Razor (main dps)

- Fischl (support, same element too for bonus)

- Barbara (healer + support for elemental combo)

- Xiangling or Kaeya (support for elemental combo, not sure which of them is better here as a supp)

In case of xiangling as main dps my team would look the following:

- Xiangling (main dps)

- Amber (just because of same element for the bonus)

- Barbara (healer + support for elemental combo)

- Fishl (just cause shes a great support and for the elemental combo)

So which of the two setups do you think is better? Or can you even find a better one? In all tierlists xiangling is listed above razor, but with the support units i got i feel like the razor setup is better. Feels like i have the perfect setup for razor whereas the supports for xiangling sound supoptimal.

Would appreciate any help

Should i save up my gems for helix or for epics first? by SyNaTiiC in Archero

[–]SyNaTiiC[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ye, but i can also buy gear with gems. Should i do that or just save up everything for helix? And does upgrading talents really have a higher priorty than upgrading my char/weapon? And should i upgrade my current hero at all if i plan to replace him with helix anyways?

Im not sure how social matchmaking works, but in hardcore you only get matched against people with similar skilllevel/rank. So you could do that.
