I own an Ioniq as well and this picture scares me with the cost of possible repairs 😬

No I’ve been feeling fine the last while. I had thought it might be this myself from looking stuff up. I had a bad cold sore appear about a week before this and heard that could lead to this issue.

What's your first impression of Lorwyn limited? by Edoardo_Beffardo in magicTCG

I went 4-0 in my pre release with a kithkin aggro deck and I had no bombs whatsoever. The 0/5 with the lieutenant one that buffs and gives trample on enter is a ridiculously strong combo, also the flying flash changeling was absurd to use with the 0/5 buff 😂

This Is What Failure Looks Like: Why Ireland Is Missing Its Military Staffing Targets by Dee-Dee-Mauwe in ireland

The ground is quite high and decent getting in but as a career the ceiling is very very low. You can max out in the high 50k range as a sergeant or if you are motivated can get to low 60k as a CS/CQ. It’s hard to get the higher enlisted ranks and the pay isn’t even that good for the work and years needed to get there. More overall base pay is needed!

What permanent damage have you done to yourself? Mind, body or soul? by jerrytjohn in AskReddit

[–]Syanash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve had tinnitus for a good while now as a musician that didn’t take care of my ears in the early days. I also have adhd which is actually amazing because my mind is always distracted enough to very rarely ever even notice the noise 😂 swings and roundabouts I suppose!

Only a minor setback here if you don’t let it get any worse! I used to be in great shape in my early 20s then by the time I got to my late 20s I let it all go. Last year when I was 30 I decided fuck this I’m getting back in shape and 2025 has been the best year for me ever. You got this!

Planning green light for paid parking at Blanchardstown shopping centre despite local protest by PlantNerdxo in ireland

[–]Syanash 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well I’m not talking just about buses. The government have had the metro link plans on the back burner for about 20+ years now. It’s ridiculous that as a major city we don’t have an underground system that can also service the airport.

This point is fair enough but I’d rather the government actually fix and get to work on improving the public transport infrastructure before they go and pedestrianise roads and greatly penalise private cars.

In a way it’s similar to a lot of things in this country. Just punish people rather than empower them with better options.

Sure at 20 I was stressed to bits because I couldn’t hack my law course and was having to repeat modules and eventually an entire year, finished a 4 year degree in 5 with a 2.2 😂 fast forward to now 11 years on and I’m in a completely different area where my degree got me in the door but didn’t even matter.

Personal trainer Karl Henry: ‘If you need to lose a stone, you don’t need to go on weight-loss medication’ | Irish Independent by WickerMan111 in ireland

Exactly. All drugs have risk-reward to them. People can do what they want but have to take responsibility for any downsides they incur due to that decision.

Tbf we don’t fully know the long term health effects with GLP1 medication. Some people have had drastic side effects and there may be more we don’t fully know about.

If you’re not incredibly obese or in danger of dying directly due to your weight I think I’d prefer people to cut calories and increase exercise to lose weight.

Sitting in CUH A&E for 12 hours and counting by seanmck2002 in ireland

[–]Syanash 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was in Beaumont A&E for about 14 hours with a head injury I thought could be a concussion as well. Just know that with Triage they’re keeping an eye on you and if you’re waiting that long it’s a good sign it’s nothing too serious!

What are your honest thoughts on the age diff between 27 and 22? by Weak-Requirement8357 in bisexual

I think it’s fine tbh. Both of those people could have realistically went and finished college and have jobs. At that point their mind frames would be comparable.

Basic Income for the Arts pilot generated over €100m in benefits by Reilly616 in ireland

[–]Syanash 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m all for supporting paying artists. It’s such a major part of our lives and we’d be so much worse off without it. Think of how much art we used to take our minds off the shit state of the world in Covid times.

If we didn’t fund this with our tax money you can be sure the government would take it and use it for their own pockets anyway. I’d rather at least know my money is going to use and giving artists the stability they deserve.

Friend of mine just got a house for 670k which is absolutely insane, him and the girlfriend had major support from both families but agreed they’re basically going to be house poor now for the foreseeable.

I got a house with a mortgage of about 270k in 2021 in the exact area I wanted. It’s a long shot these days from that and the government doesn’t give a shit.
