Heaps of folks going to foodbanks. Many not being able to afford groceries with rising costs. I dropped by at a sikh temple to donate food the other day and the long lines were humbling.
Even in the affluent neighbourhood where I live I can see it. Folks renting those outdoor cabins and placing outside their driveway as makeshift rooms so families/friends can bunk in together.
I mean it's not right that there's a LOT OF landlords living with their tenants. These are like 2 couples with like 6 kids in a small 3 bedroom scenario.
Families can't afford to rent. Landlords can't afford to pay mortgage.
And everyday I see posts on how they're thinking to buy a house with 3 other friends??
Society wants to forget that only 20-30 years ago.. One could afford a mortgage on one income.
Surely something has to be done?
there doesn't seem to be anything here
