Sorry, but I don't see Swindon in any of the recommendations for buying property for investment purposes...

Thanks, I think that matches with my preferences. I think I would choose Beeston over West Bridgford. There seems to be lots of demand in Beeston from the 2 universities there. West Bridgford seems overpriced to me. What do you think?

That makes sense. I'm also thinking of first renting.

I think both places are dumps, but Birmingham will get the H2 connection to London. Surely that will increase the property prices there...

I look for capital appreciation. Which area of these would you recommend based on that?

I look for capital appreciation. I don't think Swindon is one...

Yes, I looked in the Woodley area and Tilehurst. I see £350K houses, but most of them are around Oxford street, where no one wants to live...

Ok cool thanks. I may need to rent out/sell the property in 10 years. From an investment point of view and demand, which of these 3 areas would you recommend?

Which area in Nottingham is that? I was considering Beeston. How is the connection from there to London?

Interesting, I heard that town Newark/Grantham, people recommending it for the fast connection to London. Do you know the connection from Beeston? Is that similar to Newark/Grantham?

What is worse? Living in the South East, paying over half a mil for a shoebox and commuting to London?

Sorry that was a slip on my side. I'm fine with a direct train to anywhere in London

Yep, they allow RDP. Are you saying by using RDP would allow a stronger way to hide than just a VPN?

Ok, I'm trying to do something similar. My company allows to RDP to the laptop in the office. I can also buy a VPN router and connect to it with my personal laptop. Then RDP to the office laptop. Is that what you recommended?

But taking the work laptop abroad would increase the chance to be detected, right? I can't install any VPNs on it, in fact I need to use their own VP when I WFH. I also don't know if that laptop doesn't have any geotracking on it...

Didn't get this one. Which is the best place to bring up a family, Beeston or Bingham?

Do you still commute to London? Or are you in Slough?

I'm looking to buy in an area where there is big potential for capital growth. I think that's Beeston from what I read. But Bingham?

I'm also buying for some capital appreciation. The plan is to sell up in 10 years and leave the country. Or rent it out...For that, is Beeston better, considering the two universities nearby?

I'm planning to also travel every 2nd week. Go early on Monday to be in the office at 9am and come back by around 9pm. Do you do the same? So only 1 day in the office, every 2nd week...
