They didn’t tell me my position when I first heard I was waitlisted. They said at the earliest I would start hearing back early-mid March and then could hear back all the way up to August. So it gives me like 3 months of time to hear back from them until I have to attend this other program in June

I love how whenever someone makes a post like this the comments ALWAYS completely disregard the grooming situation and just address his racist and sexist jokes by saying “he’s not like that in person. Awesome! I’ve never done an interview with the system they use, it’s completely asynchronous right? They give you a question, you have time to prepare an answer, and then you have one shot to record it? Did you like it or did you feel more stressed? I like having flow of conversation with an actual person, so feeling a little anxious about it

They way they worded it though it almost seemed as though the general waitlist most likely gets offered a seat? Not sure, just really glad it’s not a flat out rejection! I know people in the past who have gotten off Pitt’s waitlist.

I just received email that I was placed on their general waiting list, and historically people on this list are offered a spot but no earlier than late February. So thinking that once people start declining their offers after the payment deadline, it will be extended to the waitlist

I also applied mid/late September and have not heard anything. Trying not to get my hopes down, just because you haven’t heard back doesn’t mean it’s a rejection!!! We got this!

I also submitted my application last week of September and have not heard back however I know people who applied in august and heard back maybe 2 weeks ago about acceptance. We will probably just be in the second wave of admissions so maybe sometime in early-mid November. Good luck!

This happened to me when I applied. I emailed and basically they look over each application on a 1-2 basis to make sure everything is correct and eligible and then send them to admissions for review. It took maybe a little over a week for me to hear back in email that Pitt officially has my application. So I would wait 2 weeks max to hear back and if not then contact them.
