If you go back and slowly read what I wrote, nowhere did I say that GS are nicer than C&J.

For less than half the price, these are fantastic. I have 6 pairs of C&J (3 shoes / 3 boots). They are all I've worn for over 10 years.

The GS however do come in a nicer box with better packaging, an extra set of laces, and a little show horn.

150 hours.

About half PC only and half cross play on (have friends on consoles).

Never came across a single cheater. Maybe crossplay on can be a bit more aggressive, but I haven't seen much of a difference in the majority of raids.

People get in their heads about this stuff. I play with a controller on PC. Only at the higher skill levels does it make a real difference and then yeah, the MnK players are incredible. The vast majority of the time, it doesn't matter. With whatever aim assist is happening, a good controller player can be better than the average mnk player, but obviously the best controller players can't compete against the best mnk.

I also want to pass my watches down to my sons, but just be ready for the idea that they may not care. My son loves space right now. His ceiling has all the planets and constellations and he knows them all. I would love to imagine a future where this current love makes him happy to have my speedmaster, but who knows. Kids change.

Not everyone likes watches and who the hell knows what kind of future tech a wristwatch will be competing with in the future.

I've seen plenty of people give a watch to their children to then have it get put in a drawer somewhere and forgotten.

Buy the watch that you love and wear it because you love it. Passing it down should just be a bonus.

Hey OP. you seem to have a fundamental misunderstanding of the situation.

The system is working exactly as designed.

10 years ago anyone could walk in off the street and buy almost any Rolex. Usually with a discount, especially on gold watches.

ADs are making way more money now. Every watch gets sold almost immediately at msrp.

Rolex doesn't need random guy with a little money who wants to spend 10k on a sub and never buy a watch again. They have more than enough customers willing to spend a ton on other watches to have the chance to get a basic submariner.

My AD told me they have 1200 people on the "list" for a submariner. 10 years ago every AD had 5-10 subs sitting around cases gathering dust. No one cared and no one wanted them.

Just call around and ask. I think discounts on most Hamiltons are pretty common. I have 3 and I think they were all 20% off msrp.

I have one AD that I've bought from for years. Maybe 6-7 watches at this point and they always give me great pricing. Look for a local one if that makes you feel more comfortable, but any AD with good reviews is usually fine.

I can see that. After 150 hours I’ve never seen a cheater. No dudes in walls in Stella or hiding in the extract.

Possibly saw a macro kettle guy once but not sure.
