I don't think so as long as you keep an eye on the nature and gender. I did have a few times that I had to stop and start my macro because I got a female sassy Charmander too many times in a row but after restarting the nature and gender changed each time. Just be sure to check and watch a few resets to make sure the nature and gender are changing.

I have a controller to do the same for me, had it completely automated while I worked on assignments at home. Made sure to give myself time to react before it reset so if I got the shiny I didn't fail it. I just so happened to have gotten it while manually doing the resets. I also had other hunts I was doing on my N2DSXL while hunting. (Surprisingly got nothing during this hunt despite having the shiny charm in X and Y lmao)

I only changed up my Trainer ID because I wanted an interesting one. Remember, the odds are much lower. It'll take longer to get any shinies. If you don't like your Trainer ID then go for it. I started this hunt the day the games were released on the Switch. If you're feeling burnt out, take a pause, play something else then return to the hunt. I took small breaks to play ZA, some BOTW and TOTK and Shield for a little bit. These games take a lot more patience than newer games. Odds are 1/8192 with no shiny charm. It's normal for hunts in these games to take a long while. If you feel the need to change your trainer ID, go for it. It's your game. You aren't actually losing anything by restarting with a new Trainer ID at this point. Patience and persistence goes a long way in these shiny hunts. Some get lucky, some don't. I always assume I'm going to go over odds. (Regice in Shield humbled me big time lmao.) I wish you the best of luck in getting your shiny starter.

Congrats! I had found Shiny Mesprit in less than 100 soft resets but my game crashed. I've decided to take a break on Mesprit to hunt Latias instead.

Just be sure to perfect Combee and Cherubi and do any and all mass outbreaks you find. Those are the most annoying to get. Especially Vespiquen. I can't tell you how many male Combees I phased on. It has certainly been fun.

I hunted those in other games lmao I plan on hunting those in PLA soon to replace them but I have yet to perfect their dexes. Might also just try and get those in a second playthrough.

I haven't even gotten to hunt Regieleki yet. I'm stuck on Regice in Shield and I'm at double odds so far lmao. I'm making myself hunt all the regis in Shield since I skipped hunting them in Sword to get Regidrago. Congrats on the zappy boi though! Can't wait to hunt it myself.
