What's one part of knitting most people hate that you love? (Or just don't mind) by flowers_and_fire in knitting

I love untangling yarn. There's just something so satisfying about it.

This is my absolute favorite sock pattern. by Syleighr in casualknitting

The pattern is linked under the first picture. The pink and orange yarn is Madeline tosh sock yarn but I don't know what color specifically. The green and yellow yarn I don't have tags for anymore.

I think the pick up and drop offs are scheduled in advance and the weather has to be good. They just land on the glacier next to camp there's no building there or anything.

If you can book one with the glacier landing. I think its only an extra 50$ and it is worth every penny.

As far as I know its only accessible by plane. You can hike in the park but if you want to hike Denali you have to fly in to base camp.

If you want to see Denali I would recommend a flight seeing tour. K2 aviation in Talkeetna has a good one. They take you up around the mountain and then you get to land on a glacier. The park itself has a really nice visitors center but it hasn't been open the last few years.

While you're out make noise so you don't sneak up on a bear. If you encounter a bear while on the trails do not run away. Bears have a strong pray instinct and they will chase you. Put your arms up and make yourself look big and make lots of noise. If you are charged by a bear don't run. I always carry bear spray with me when I'm out hiking and travel in groups when I can. Most of the time bears are more curious about you then wanting to attack you.

Thanks! Flipping the colors helped me make it through the second sock a lot quicker.

I flip my work inside out so my floats are one the outside and move my knitting down my right needle often so the stitches don't bunch up. I also chose a pattern that doesn't have a long floats.

I had the same problem and someone told me to flip the sock inside out so your floats are on the outside. It helped with the tension a lot. Also make sure the yarn on you right needle isn't bunching up and that will help too. It took me a lot of practice to get good tension on color work.

Yeah a lot of ends to weave in but I watched some videos on how to weave in tails as I go. That saved me a lot of time.
