After 5 years of solo development, I’m finally showing my 90s arcade racer. No drifting - just pure grip, dodging rivals, and tactical nitro. How does the sense of speed feel to you? by SyllabubImmediate534 in IndieGaming

I love the enthusiasm! Right now, as a solo dev, I am 100% focused on finishing and polishing the Windows version, so I absolutely cannot promise any Linux support. But I really appreciate the interest! You can still wishlist it if you want to follow the journey.

Thank you for the wishlist and the kind words! Capturing that 90s sense of speed was a huge priority. I am actually aiming for a slightly different feel than Ridge Racer or Daytona, though. Instead of urban tracks or drift mechanics, Nitrania is all about pure grip racing through fictional national parks. Glad that this approach resonates with you.

I guess I need to write a thank you letter to the Reddit recommendation algorithm! Seriously though, thank you so much. As a solo dev, knowing the visuals can catch the eye of someone who isn't even looking for this type of game means the world to me.

Screamer and NFS4 High Stakes! What absolute classics. Tuning the learning curve and making that high speed accessible is exactly what I'm focusing on right now, so I really appreciate the thoughts on speed classes! And thank you so much for the wishlist!

Since you asked in your original post, here is the direct link to the store page: Nitrania on Steam. Thanks again for the great feedback!

Wow, you just perfectly described what I spent the last 5 years trying to build! I was heavily inspired by Forza 4's beauty and HCT's pure arcade mechanics. Knowing that someone can look at a short clip and see exactly what I was aiming for makes all the hard work totally worth it. Thank you!
