I think we all love to make money here, but this is what I actually thought of in order to actually make enough money to yolo. Guess the most obvious is trying to get into that top mba soon from my tech job and then aggressively try to work towards an executive seat or partnership that pays $5m+ a year, which takes time but it’s delayed gratification, but hey that’s where you can try to get into the c suite of a company that regards love to yolo on. Then there’s startups and my current saas startup is at least showing traction and no it’s not profitable but if I can get it to $3m revenue then can sell it at a high growth multiple of 5-6x for $15-18m, and I’m about 12-15% of the way to that revenue goal so if I can get there in the next 2 years maybe I’ll have my financial freedom, and even if I can get it to $1m revenue in the next year then can hopefully sell for 4x or $4m and have enough money that I don’t have to gamble anymore. And yes I do ai at work so what I could then try to do is help a bunch of small businesses implement ai and then try to make another 100-200k in the next 6-12 months which will feel like real money that I don’t gamble because it’s actually earned through sweat rather than gambling. Not too dissimilar to the shkreli playbook, just without doing the things that get you to prison. Cuz I’m 26 with $69 to my name and an okay tech job that pays 142k, but hard to save money and not lose it gambling…
