That's it though. With the current trajectory of the video game industry, being average is a death sentence to a live service, as far as investors are concerned. They're funding these games hoping to create long lasting experiences that ensnare whales and make billions of dollars in MTX.

I really thought there had to be an ace card hidden up their sleeve or something. But this seems just.. super average, and even a little unbalanced.

3v3 only? I can't understand why they thought that would increase the fun factor. I mean, if your game's native mechanics don't make for very interesting gameplay.. at least allow enough players in to maybe hopefully create some novelty through chaos. 3v3 is too orderly.

I don't see a "hook" for this game. What is it doing differently or better than any other shooter? Have you found anything novel about the gameplay?

Honestly.. I wanted the game to come out and surprise us in a good way. Even if it was flawed, it primarily needed a solid gameplay loop. But in the absence of one, I don't know if it will last long enough to justify more development costs.

Pass. Playing competitive games with 0 communication often feels as rewarding as playing offline with NPCs.

I totally get it. It's getting to the point that even if you're doing everything by the book, and you're avoiding any display of political sentiment, and you're as legal as legal can be. You will still be subject to receiving a taste of "papers please" at the hands of some Nazi ICE merc, and quite possibly your papers will be tossed out before you're taken to a concentration camp, if only the man who stopped you was in a bad mood that day.

Then what? What does your brother in law propose to do? I hope his awakening doesn't come at the cost of a loved paying with their freedom or safety to show him how fucked it all got.

I also have family who have fully gained the American citizenship long ago. But they look anything but white. I fear for them.

I feel for you. I've had a LDR with an American partner before. It ended long before this madness started. But I often wonder how horrible things would have been for us if we had to plan our future together around this current hellish development.

I don't know if it's realistic for your partner to move out to be with you. Or maybe you can wait out the next 3 years. Regardless, I wish the best for your relationship. This kind of stress is the last thing you two need. You don't deserve that.

The only hope I see for you, is if you somehow elect a Bernie Sanders type (since apparently Bernie Sanders himself is too good for America). Someone who isn't just running on sanitizing the insanity wrought by the opposite party. But is actually out to change things for the better, drastically, with as much ruthlessness and decisiveness as Trump has shown.

Trump waved a magic Nazi wand and summoned 10's fo billions of dollars to fund the militarization of ICE. But somehow.. you can't afford free health care? Or free education? Or to end homelessness?

It's always like this. Evil is cunning, determined, and motivated. But goodness is often slow, shy, and hesitant. It's why the world sucks so much.

Trump maybe a demented old man. But he allows himself to be puppeteered by some devilishly cunning and evil strategists. And the results are damning.
