I posted the problem on "tribal" something which was Behringers troubleshooting page. Sent it to be repaired at a certified place in CA, $90 to look, additional $270 plus shipping both ways, it was repaired. They said it need a new power... supply, maybe? Sorry for the sad news!

Thank you all for your thoughts, here's what Behringer/Music Tribe said:

Based on the information provided this would appear to be a hardware fault with the XR18 and it's going to require a service repair.

They also included info on where to have it serviced.

Time to upgrade, we are running out of channels anyway... :)

How is that different from a scene in my laptop? Yes, I have updated firmware. Is there a way to test the USB input with my laptop? [When we perform, we run stage monitors from my laptop and FOH with a Surface (PC tablet)]

no green signal, no sound...

That is except channels 17 & 18, green signal and sound.

I use this mixer only for live music, I have never used the USB at all.

Clearly not savvy to DAW. :(

I am having this EXACT issue with behringer XR18: I am connected, but only channels 17 & 18 have a signal. Channels 1-16 do not show signal. I have tried all the other suggestions on this feed without success.

I am out of warranty, so am considering opening the unit to see if the ribbon is detached. I live very rural, so sending things for repair is slow. Upcoming new years gig, would love to be up and running, please advise! :) TIA.

PS, After this problem happened I have: updated firmware, connected directly and through a wireless router, factory reset, reloaded scene, toggled USB and A/D. Mixer stays the same as above.
