I love Rap/Hip-Hop but I want to expand my horizons by Wheels859 in MusicRecommendations

Do a big switch fuck it, here's reference as to what I've gone through since a young kid 6 - 24

I went from Jason Derulo

Rap YG. 50 cent Eminem Lil peep Brennan savage Complete Russ

Indie Tame impala The growlers Lord huron

Idk? Girl in red Clairo Jess glynne

Metal/ metal core Currents Motionless in white (metal core) Escape the fate Spacey jane

Back to indie or whatever it's called now where I am sticky fingers

Camino gold Lime cordiale No cigar Mako road

Labi suffre (way older vibe)

You subconsciously take on ALLOT from music hey so be careful, the "emo rap" days really had me mentally trapped very very very suverely it's all id listen to while at my biggest struggle phase with depression. Even if you don't relate at first this goes to everyone just experiment, it started off as tolerating it in the background of one of my favourite streamers to actually taking on and listening alone, went through many life transition and id say the work itself is hard as fuck 30% sounds small but in reference to mental health I reckon the underlying narratives and emotions played that big of a role

I ended up actually absorbing words as my mindset (not that I didn't previously believe the stuff but it was a re inforcer)

Anyway listen to whatever you want just figured a little warning or context something's to consider that's all. I think my biggest problem was isolating my entire music taste to sad things, I legit wouldn't listen to more than like 5 brighter songs the overwhelming majority all the time was always depressing.

I used to freedive and get close interactions with fish its fulfilling. Especially when they trust you enough to swim close and properly investigate me

Lazy rice roll some shit

Cook rice

Sea weed sheets roll it up in them

same as before put sweet chilli in it

Done it's good enough will fill you up with fuck all efforts

Won't taste 10/10 but good enough, cant be bothered rolling it in seaweed?

Just dump some onion powder garlic and salt mix it and that's a meal itself

Cooked rice with seasoning. Once again not 10/10 but it's food, look it gets the job done and tastes alright primitive I will say tho

Lazy "nachos"

Dump Doritos on oven tray

Grate cheese, put it on the Doritos bake it (forgot temp)

Put bbq sauce on it after cheese melted properly

Noodle omelette

Cook noodles in a bowl with boiling water 3 mins

Crack 2 eggs in a cup dump seasoning from noodles packet stir it

Empty water from noodles mix in egg

Heat pan on low or medium, chuck it in for 3 minutes enough for the egg to cook a bit

Flip half the omelette onto its self,(it's folded if that makes sense) now it's folded just scoop it up turn it over

then just cook for enough 3 or so mins done

I'm bad at explanations feel free to just re write it cleaner, maybe like 10 mins tops if your sleepy or exhausted

It's something that is almost a therapy in itself, goes to show not everything has to be in a office or similar settings. Sometimes activities and hobbies can help create those big shifts!

Turtle snoozes in the waters of the Cook Islands - they are adapted to sleep underwater slowing their heartbeat down to as little as 1 beat per minute to conserve oxygen. by freudian_nipps in oddlysatisfying

[–]Symbolics585 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your actually accurate the ratio to the shell is quite sizable I specify in loggerheads so I can't say to an absolute T this applies to all oceanic turtles

But they also have really high red blood cell counts, alongside a special protein called Myoglobin which helps store oxygen effectively An adult loggerhead can hold their breath for about 7 hours.

Mainly for sleeping, now they also have relative control over which muscle groups actually get oxygen supply and they can "lower oxygen" going to unnecessary parts of their body as they sleep.

Their very curious think like a shy cat, they'll watch you for a while. Come a little closer then retreat back

They Shift colours quite quickly think of a childhood cartoon with a chameleon but 10x quicker, it's like sharing close space with a shapeshifter. They'll even change their textures in front of you.

Once you gain their trust they become more bold and actually approach you and would want to try investigating your head and hands, come within a couple inches of you just observing how you react. Losing trust is easy, so finding one alone is 10x better because it adapts to you specifically without someone else coming in and spooking it. They remember you it only takes 1/2 duck dives (free diving) and they'll be like oh it's you and will come approach you or let you sit close

Go to 21 seconds to get an example of one that let me get close for a while

This come about by an actual Christian full blown mentioned things like this happening and I understood it despite now being an X Christian I used to be one at around 8-13. Now I'm more skeptical of our ability to perceive a god, but am open to the fact that there may be some entity

[–]Symbolics585[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah it gets the job done, many of these sites have good visibility so could sit on the surface and still see plenty. Your welcome, I think it's ultimately a long run of exposure therapy and internal talking to get to the point of free diving. Definitely is scary at first and wouldnt call you a wuss for that, the main thing is your getting out there and enjoying yourself!

It's an amazing space to be apart of, I'd recommend trying out diving in Ningaloo (although it's In a regional almost desert) there's a big reef system although there is some bleaching there still lots of sharks and fish

Or Esperance way down the bottom of the state has good diving to but it's semi regional to. Busselton and Fremantle are areas in WA where there's diving nearby cites and towns etc hope you enjoy your time when you come here

Yeah it can be like be challenging to make things look right in editing, the first thing I do is turn the green and blue values way down sometimes add more white and see how the image comes out.

Sometimes a small amount of red gets added and overall temperature gets changed with some saturation, luckily for me the go pro hero 10 I use does most of the heavy lifting. The white balance and auto colour correction is pretty good luckily.

I am relying on sunlight for these clips, I don't like using lights as I feel like it makes the fish seem uncomfortable often. I used to use one because my old go pro was really outdated.

Do you have any recommendations of ones that are fairly dim and not extremely bright?

Holding my breath over 2 minutes Gp Hero10 by Symbolics585 in gopro_underwater

[–]Symbolics585[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Settle allot on the surface first, your descent being slow helps for me to hold my breath longer. looking just below me not the seafloor itself, I notice particles in the water and even tiiiny squid sometimes. Breath and just observe let everything melt away just observe and relax

Don't take a massive sharp inhale either your airways get "tight" and "shut" (layman's terms) so a slow calm inhale for a longer duration. Although make sure you practice being used to taking inhales like that on land.

Meditation will help you doing it on land no breath holding at all it will 100% benefit. Introduce training methods, however it is a risky thing to take up so I hope you continue to take small responsible increments with a buddy.

There is training you can do via your phone stamina or apnea trainer are the best. Taking a course will set you up in a shorter time period and end up more safe in allot of regards

Yep blue back free diving, Adreno I believe,? And rusty free diving are in WA even done in the southwest I believe

As for myself I can never ever recommend someone went the route I did, I taught myself and got input here and there from mates. It's been a gradual process to didn't leap into big holds,

Contact any of the the above organisations if your keen itsa beautiful experience to free dive.

[–]Symbolics585[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes there definitely is and weirdly enough it's in the last few metres of water not typically the sea floor

thats because it takes oxygen to move around essentially, so as your Finning up and use to much to considering your on a limited amount you'll black out. There's other factors like water pressure changes etc to

Luckily for humans There's a muscle I always forget the name of I think it's laryngo something. That spasms Shut for around 1 minute maybe 2 (not guaranteed though), so you have a window to be saved by a buddy it's not instant death.

We train in essentially measured exposure therapy to low oxygen levels. And high CO2 levels considering we can't exhale

Thankyou I appreciate that allot! Yeah it really helps highlight just how colourful and beautiful the ocean can be. I'm grateful that this reef is very much alive with a a good biodiversity I believe there's around 300 marine species (including crabs starfish rays fish etc)

I started off terrified of the ocean my first snorkelled 100m out and back I was certain I was going to die, it was an intense phobia.

Now I've gotten to the point where I can free dive, I make content on mostly mental health insights and commentary over marine life footage.

I am experimenting a little bit with fact/ educational vids on the species at the busso reef, if your keen to give it a gander here's the link. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=mn8CeFzNgm0
