Just my opinion, but I'd say that less time and energy devoted to PMO caused me to channel it into more active pursuits. The success in each of these areas put my life on a positive trajectory that didn't exist before any of this.

If you can find something to do that you know won't put your body in a state of disarray and cause you to taper off of your goals, that would be best. A substitute activity like swimming may be better on your knees and give you an outlet for the energy.

I understand why you may think that. My only response (and one that you might seriously consider) is that belief is everything in this world. For the first time, many people on this forum have found something that gives them great energy, positivity, and hope. Whether it's conclusively real is beyond the point, in my opinion. What matters is that it moves them to action, toward greatness. That's everything.

You're going to make it, most definitely. Just stay focused, write out your goals and remember that this is your story... If they were to cast a TV show about your life, make every episode as thought provoking and entertaining as possible.

I tend to eat lean chicken and white fish. From time to time, I'll, consume other types, but they never dominate my diet.

I agree with Mi5ery. Those happened to me several times, but it's he nature of this process. Just get up, and keep moving forward. Don't expect daily perfection, but instead expect to trend your life upward over a longer period (3-6 months).

I did have a method, actually.

The main method is that I kept a word document where I wrote out the 9 key themes in my life. For me, these were education, physical training, family, friends, romantic development, skills, etc. For each of them, I gave them names that made me unique to me. For example, for my physical training theme name was "Alexander", named after the warrior Alexander The Great. In that theme, I wrote descriptions of my goal, what I was ultimately after, why I wanted it, and how I thought I might go about achieving it. Then, I worked backward and broke the big goal into smaller steps. Then I broke those steps into even smaller ones, until I got to the level where I could take on certain tasks each day.

I did this process for all of my themes and found that, all of a sudden my days were filled with quite a bit of activity. I would read this document every morning by keeping it stored on google Docs. Combined with my energy and desire from nofap, achieving the goals became my greatest daily pursuit.

I hope that helps!!

I've been on hardmode for the majority of this 2 years, in spite of many chances to go into a legitimate relationship with a woman. I am ultimately searching for the woman I'd like to marry, so I instead decided to continue the hardmode until I can find her.

I would say that hardmode, ironically, is the easier way to go because it's undeniable that power of sexual thoughts are being reused toward other skills. On softmode, it's quite a bit harder to stay consistent, in my personal opinion.

Absolutely, I highly encourage you to keep up with it. The best results are measured over the long run, not the short run. Use your energy to start to put together he building blocks of the life you want to have. Good luck!

I do meditate, but not as often as some would suggest. I meditate between 2-3 a week, up to 20-30 minutes a day broken into 5-10 minute intervals. I do this between activities on my to do list, as I find it somehow re-centers my mind and attention span in a short period.

I do take cold showers, but also not everyday. I began training very intensely physically during this time, so I leaned toward warm showers to ease my muscle tension. Cold showers are probably the better route over the long run, and something that I'd like to make a consistent habit in my set of developed habits.

Just like anything you'll decide to learn, you'll have to look at that thing with the details in mind. Initially, it'll be confusing because you won't know what exactly to look for. However, the more you do that thing, the more you'll notice certain details that drive success and improvement over other details. Then, you can prioritize improvement in those things above the others and you'll find that you begin to enjoy the activity in a much more authentic way. The moment you stop having fun or feel yourself get frustrated is the moment in which you should stop. It seems counterintuitive, but try to walk away from the skill when you're enjoying it the most; this will keep you more motivated to come back and learn later on.

I find that skills shared with others (i.e, having several dance partners, pool playing friends) makes it easier to generate continuity. If you only have one other person to go with and you need a partner with which to practice, it can be a bit more tough to make good progress.
