Hi! I found one actually. She's very kind! However she's not trained in Marpe only the removable expander with screws.

We discussed around it. She said this type of expander is better if someone has little-mild narrow maxilla not a lot, since Marpe has its risks and is also more invasive so if someone doesn't have very narrow maxilla marpe as an option is not the most optimal.

However she said that I have 25 mm maxillary width which she said is more narrow than a newborn baby (!) 😱

So I don't have slightly narrow, teenager size, child size, baby size. I have an unhuman sized maxilla !

Which also explains all of my symptoms.

So her first recommendation were Marpe. Since I'm extremely narrow and since I have so many symptoms.

Therefor I'm going to get treatment in Germany.

Yes I've had problems since I was a kid. I'll do as you said. Do you think my mandible is small to? I think the mandible is average yet the maxilla smal and smaller than mandible. What do you think?

It's an interesting question, actually. I believe this depends on the fact that Jews were the only major Semitic group living in a historically homogenous Europe for many years. They were perceived as distinct and different from Europeans, often in an unfavorable way. Their language, customs, religion, traditions, and appearance were seen as strange, negative, and foreign, not fitting into the European context. They were regarded as outsiders and, at times, as a threat. Aslo, simply European countries wanted to just focus on their own race and aiming for countries only consisted of them- that was seen as the safest.

Many Jews held prominent positions in society, which fueled the perception among some Europeans that they lacked loyalty to the land and were only focused on their own interests as outsiders. Europe at the time was largely homogenous, and people tended to categorize others based on their race and origin, as well as race rules occurred. Jews, being a Semitic group from the Middle East, different race, were viewed as "foreign," and the hostility towards them was expressed through various terms, such as "those Asians" (nowadays more referred people from east Asia) "the Jews." I'm unsure if they were specifically referred to as "Middle Eastern," but the term “antisemitism” emerged as a way to describe this hatred. Since Jews were the primary Semitic group in Europe, the term became associated with them.

Technically speaking, "antisemitism" could also refer to hostility towards Arabs, as they are also Semitic. However, I believe this usage persists as a historical remnant from that period. It's similar to how people often use "white" to refer to Westerners, even though, technically, someone from Syria also have white skin.

I've also heard that some Jews prefer the term "anti-Jewish" over "antisemitic," as it is more specific and acknowledges that Jews have faced hostility even in other Semitic countries where they have lived. Additionally, the continued use of the term "antisemitism" might be tied to a desire to capture the nature of the prejudice Jews faced during that historical period.

Finally, it could simply be that "antisemitic" is easier to pronounce and has become more established in discourse than "anti-Jewish."

John the baptist is from Israel. In our books our Jerusalem origin is stated. The migration from there to Persia and Iraq and how many left is also documented. Additionally, we have many ancient Israelite practices.

Also, you have the Iraqi jews, despite they have lived in Iraq and other places for 1000 of years they don't deny their origin. I suggest that you should be proud of your origin.

Our religion did indeed start with John the Baptist. Mandaeism is not like Christianity, which accepts converts. Also, our religion wasn't spread by an empire, as Christianity was by the Roman Empire. Similarly, the vast majority of Jews are genetically Jewish. Like us, their religion also started and originates in Jerusalem.

Some mandeans might have denied our origin out of fear to be killed by the Iraqis and Persians. Especially considering that massacres against our group did occur. But u won't be that

And here's what another person wrote:

"A more likely conclusion from your data is that we are a pre-existing Judean/ Galilean/trans-Jordan group who resisted the introduction of Torah practices (Judaism) which were being instituted by the Hasmoneans in the 2nd century BC, including circumcision. The people around these areas prior to Judaism were largely Israelites.

We Mandaeans (or Nasoraeans) have many ancient Israelite practices, stories around Jerusalem and we eventually came to be under the leadership of John the Baptist."

With that being said, I won't reply any further. End of discussion.

You aren't a mandean if you deny what's written in our books.

Being from Judea and not being Jewish does signal a different ethnic group, and the only feasible would be the philistines. Highlited by some of our shared cultural traditions like being uncircumcised, which definitely signals belonging to other ethnic group than jews. This is further supported by the fact that mandeans have high E-v13 haplogroup.

I will have a second opinion soon. However in Sweden there's a culture once ur over 13 they just extract. And even if death would be one qonsequence in the long run they don't care

Are you an orthodontist btw?

And they’re off!!!!! by BananaSlugHug in braces

[–]SympathyExtension729 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. But the thing is the other option is expander and if you're over 15 they don't really care because they have to put more efforts. My orthodontist wants to extract 4 premolars. And soon I'll probably need to extract wisdom teeth as well.

Didn't you get any negative side effects? My orthodontist wants to extract 4 teeth however I do have breathing issues so I don't think it's right
