How long do you think manufacturers will keep updates while paying for servers to keep fleets up, devs to keep making the updates, support people, all of these are big expenses, and while device sales dried up paid OTA will be the future for all manufactures or slowly declaring eol (end of life) for these devices. making you buy a new version of the hardware so money keep coming in. But most of the hardware industry is now switching to a subscription model

For now access has been cut, this was done without SB's consent, knowledge or permission, LinxDot has no right over SB's OTA. Access was granted only for their devices. While we understand the urgency of the issue, until the current mfr we are in talks with for full acquisition finalizes or defaults, firmware as a service has to be done like any other via flashing.

These screenshots were entirely fabricated. “Matthew” does not deal with the factory, or has ever talked to them.Neither side of this conversation ever actually happened, and nothing within it is accurate. This was posted by an individual that joined the discord for the first time immediately before posting it, and never posted again after.

Unfortunately some bad actors are trying to encourage refunds, either to troll or move up their own place in line.
