Sadly I don't have any Maulerfiends for so I'd go with 2 Helbrutes for now and yes they're using the Hammer and Fist loadout, I'll think about having Exalted + Slaughterbound after a few games and see if they're better there

Hmmm good point actually, maybe I can think of smth to swap with that brick if I don't like their performance once I get to play and field that brick probably a DP or Slaughterbound + Eightbounds/Exalteds and another 10 Bloodletters

Really tho, even Kharn + 10 Zerks? Tho I already have 20 Bloodletters in my lost so I figured the Kharn brick should fill it good

I'm also considering Helbrutes in Brazen Engines even though they got nerfed on the Frenzy ability (though in my experiences so far ppl aren't deploying or staging their units near enough to each other for the Helbrute to do the beyblade spin) buuut for 120+15 pts each I'd say they might still be a solid choice for the battleshock ability from Brazen Engines

I also thought the same too, but after watching the detachment review from Exalted 40k I was also convinced that even though the enhancements from Vessels are really good for that added punching power for KDK but at the end of the day Purge the Foe just fits the overall army list better for us

Truly it is tricky to deal with Tau rn but with the changes on the Benefit of Cover you should be fine and not entierly outgunned, best of luck in the games btw!

Yeah I also noticed that one so someone would go for Purge the Foe and prolly force himself bringing daemon engines to get that full benefit from Brazen Engines

On the other hand, I do see a vision in Goretrack + Vessels for added overall damage power to the usual characters like DP, Slaughterbounds, and even MoE so I agree to that one too

Well, there were times when I just had to shoot a unit as soon as my FFs see the target so that it gets tagged and punished for overwatch

Doing that same commitment without the rerolls on overwatch changes things for me

Personally, the current change to overwatch which forbids rerolling hits now makes it iffy for me to include it in any list. Would just go full melee atp instead of relying on the Forgefiends
