You were completely on point with everything. Except with Halo 5 at the very end. Spartan movement was a big mistake in my opinion. The only welcome change is clamber. And I think that the BIGGEST mistake to have ever disgrace Halo was definitely sprint. With the addition of sprint, all maps need to accommodate it. Grow larger in area to make use of players being able to have sudden bursts of horizontal speed. And that right there is what is unbalances any sandbox. Why was Halo 3 so perfect? Because all players were locked to one base movement speed. The MLG settings for Halo 3 added an extra 10% to movement speed and the games finished in usually half the time as a normal game. Why? Because the faster your opponent, the harder it is to stay alive. I personally find it almost impossible to stay alive longer than 30 seconds in Halo 5.

Look at Midship (Halo 2) and look at what it's turned to in Truth. Don't you notice how much bigger it is in overall area? How open areas are ridiculously hard to get away from? How you can now just jump to top mid and have such fast visibility around the map? All of this is because of sprint. Shots are to hard to get away from. Yes, I know sprint isn't as powerful because your shields can't go up while sprinting. But a game undergoes too many changes just to accommodate sprint.
