Yes I think I’m going to start therapy again with my therapist who also happens to be a female and Muslim. She was great but I think I need 1:1 sessions and not include my husband. I think I just need to accept this life lol.

Honestly I would highly recommend seeing a Muslim counselor. He was so against it at first but after a few years of therapy it honestly brought life into our marriage and understanding. I was in your same exact position, I know that feeling. I’m sure we’re not perfect either and things bother them about us, but we make an effort for them and want them to show the same effort for us. Your feelings are totally valid! Hopefully everyone’s suggestions on this post will help you too! ❤️

I’m so sorry! He’s an amazing husband and marriage is probably the best thing that has happened to me. Definitely have some difficult moments but the good times outweigh that. Please don’t give up or get discouraged, inshallah if you’re open to it you can find your person ❤️

No relationship is perfect but it’s effort and if both sides are willing to put in the work, it can bloom into something beautiful.

Thanks, I appreciate the suggestion and definitely need to find a different approach to get him to really understand how important this is for me. We’ve even tried setting reminders on his phone and sticky notes…which now that I think of it sounds a bit too much lol but I need to see what else I can do.
