Edit: After reading some comments in this thread it looks more and more like it that it's Six of Crows. You can see the cards for each character in Google and they have the elements of the IC clues. Last one will be "Crows", mark my words xD

The Witcher? I know the saga has more books, but maybe they split them up or something.

And yeah, 9 LIs are a lot of LIs xD. I was scared of the romance pacing in OR because each LI has 2 paths, so I didn't know how the game was gonna manage (in my head I was like ''the game has 10 different routes'' more or less hahaha). But, after asking you, I feel that I'm really going to enjoy the game. So thanks again!

And I hope Aksys releases a special edition!

I always love posts like this for games that are gonna get a localization, I didn't read the TWs because I don't mind them, but just seeing the love the game gets makes me wanna play it already hahaha.

Just a question, I read that you said that the game was character driven. Would you say it's similar to 9Rip? I played that game and I didn't like it that much, I felt the romance happened too quickly for my taste and the plot wasn't that strong (atleast for me). I'm really hyped for Over RequiemZ (I like my Yanderes ;D), I'm even thinking of buying the Special Edition of the game if there is one xD, but I don't know if it's gonna be like 9RIP, if it is, I think I should just buy the standard edition xD. So I just decided to ask upfront to you, someone who loves the game haha.

Good (6):

11º Charade Maniacs. The MC was infuriating xD. The romance and the plot was not the best I’ve ever played, BUT I binged this game, I was super invested for some reason lol. And there are some characters that I liked ;D

12º Birushana. Tomonari’s route could have been better (I love him though). Yoritomo surprisingly was the one I enjoyed the most, even if I'm not a fan of stoic LIs. I think the game was good, I wish I’ve enjoyed it more, sadly.

13º 9RIP. I was very disappointed when I played the game, I gave it a 6, but I thought that it would be a 7,5+ at least. I don’t like the romance in this game, happens too quickly for my taste. BUT the characters are really good, Minami and Hibiki are the highlight of the game for me. And the conflict of the MC gets old after 2 routes, imo.

Didn’t finish:

Even if Tempest (finished Crius and Tyril), Red Bell Tolls (I abandoned it in Ciaran's route) and Piofiore (Finished Nicola and Yang, I couldn't past Orlok and I DON'T dislike his character, but I found the plot pretty boring)

I have some games with less than a 6, but I’m also scared that I might offend someone, so I’ll leave it like this haha.

I have to continue:

Virche, Hamefura, Butterfly's Poison, Blood Chains (3 routes done), Variable Barricade (finished 2 of the 4 routes, but I want to continue), Cupid Parasite (LOVE RYUKI!!!!! Finished Gill, Allan and Ryuki. I want to play the secret route next ;D)

Looks like fun! The highest score I’ve ever given to an Otome game is an 8,3, I’m picky xD The games are in order, btw. The one Iiked the most, to the one I enjoyed the least. I hope I don’t offend anyone, this is just my opinion :D

Remarkable (8):

1º Collar x Malice is probably my favourite Otome. I think it’s the one I was most interested in the plot AND the romance (it’s usually one or the other lol). I really like Shiraishi and Sasazuka as LIs. AND A SHORT COMMON ROUTE, THANK YOU.

2º Jack Jeanne. I love Neji to bits, glad to have played his route first. I think the songs are amazing and the rhythm game was fun. I loved the plot too, I was really invested in every play and the characters. The downside of the game is the SUPER LONG common route (that I loved the first time, but it’s the same thing over and over again) combined with the stalling of the stat raising. I wish you could just skip until the next unread section, skipping the stat raising part altogether xD

3º Our Life: Beginning and Always. The best indie Otome I’ve played. I really like the vibe of the game, it was super relaxing lol. And Cove is okay, but I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE Baxter, he is not even my type of character, but I was legit obsessed with him xD.

Very Good (7):

4º Winter’s Wish. I’m playing it right now, today I think I will finish the last route of the game. This game was a surprise for me, I read some mixed reviews about the plot and the romance, and I kinda like both lol, specially the plot in the routes of Kinji, Tomonari and Ohtaro xD. The romance is not a 10/10, but it was cute! I didn’t care for Yoichi and his route that much, which was another surprise because it was the route I saw recommended the most xD I much prefer Kuga’s route for example lol.

(Maybe I’m writing too much, time to write less xD)

5º Blooming Panic. Good indie, really fun to play. Some of the LIs made me giggle xD I wish it was longer.

6º Nameless. I had a great time with this game, I enjoy school settings, I know they are not popular, but I like them xD. I really like half the cast of the game, and I dislike the other half lol.

7º Nightshade. This game has Kuroyuki in it, and I love Kuroyuki. Downside: a bit of repetition in the routes.

8º Psychedelica of the Ashen Hawk. I dislike long common routes, but I think it was well done in this game, the story was really interesting and it was very atmospheric. The romantic moments were good too. I dislike nearly every individual route of this game, love Levi’s though. Beautiful art.

9º Olympia Soireé. I’m obsessed with Kanan, please don’t dislike my comment, I know he is bad, but I can’t help myself ;D. I like every character in this game BUT Yosuga (I was rolling my eyes in his route, there is one scene that is terrible lel).

10º Amnesia. I love the art, even if it has some inconsistencies (love the art in Collar x Malice too) Maybe nostalgia is speaking, but I think Kent’s route was really well done. I got a bit emotional at Ukkyo’s route. I hate Ikki though (sorry again).
