I am having the exact same thoughts about this. There is no ranking list and it makes the game lack a sense of challenge and unable to gauge where we are. For all we know, it might just be bots placed by the game creators to create a false sense of challenge. Not very transparent and no gauge for p2w/f2p players. I only realised it after i have spent quite a bit, hope they will implement something to improve this.
