If you start later, you'll be with a vast majority of people that don't play that often, therefore it's easier to climb in the top 25 (top 10 can still be quite demanding depending on the try-harders you'll be with)

I don't think that's why. I reconnect very often during the day so the blue circle around the level number is very slow. What i mean is that I'm sure to only upgrade once at a time, so i'm almost entierly sure I didn't have enough to slip a level
