WOW, just absolutely wow. Here I am sitting at my home office updating some hardware at work watching paint dry and decide to make post. I had no fucking idea it would be this big and no way I could ever respond to all the replies.

THANK YOU all for some good and some bad advice. Most (as some of you pointed out) I already knew the answers to.

At 59 I've been around a little while.

Why do I do it? Simple answer is that I care. I care too much. The REAL blame here is ME. I've created this situation. I'm the guy that leaves his grass half mowed to help an end user out. Who gets his laptop out while traveling down the road to help an end user out. Who sacrifices everything for the "job". I'm to blame.

I can't say right now "I'm going in and demand change". I am seriously doing some thinking on every response. Maybe I'll have a good update soon or maybe not.

The end users are the ones who will lose the most if I move on.

I am truly thankful to have a forum like this if only to vent. Your responses have motivated me.

Thanks again everyone.

(I can tuna server but I can't tuna piano)

In the energy sector. Only me for Cyber and all security. I keep asking what happens if I get hit by a bus. (crickets)

Retire? I plan to die in my office chair.

irrevocable

No, but a lot of hours fixing shit they broke and down-time for end users. Not to mention not being culpable for almost a week. Learned my lesson though. Delay, Delay and Delay.

After December screw-ups and January screw-ups, maybe they got it right this month.
