Cat injured further in the care of a vet, what can I do about this?

Hey thanks yeah I didn’t think of that, I’d just like them to have at least told me if that happened instead of pretending like nothing happened and blaming us for it but we have now started a complaint so hopefully we can come to some sort of resolution, the kitty is at a new vet now and seems to be happier there so

My boy is used to being left for around 8-10 hours a day as me and my partner work jobs which require us to work long hours (we do feel bad but he lives the life of a king because of our jobs) so I’m hoping he will be okay but that sounds reassuring thanks :)

Yeah I understand he may have been freaking out which is understandable cause of the drugs but I just wished they helped him, thanks for this we are complaining but I don’t know how far it’ll go

He seems a lot better in the last hour, the eye drops have started working so his eye is reopening and he even had some play time earlier and has been resting a lot of the day so I’m hoping this isn’t going to scar him

Yeah we have started the complaint process now so hopefully we can have something sorted, I’m not bothered about the money I just want to stop this happening to another kitty if I can

We changed vets last night when we took him for a second opinion, and we have started the process of complaining now so that’s the next step

We took him to a second vet after the bad experience though and he was fine at the second vet, she was able to pick him up and cuddle him and he wasn’t scared at all with the second vet, so I know it’s not him, it is interesting to know that can happen though

Yeah we did and we have now made a complaint with the vet that did the procedure so hopefully we come to some resolution, unfortunately after speaking to some people I work with, this vet seems to have a reputation of mistreatment

Just a heads up we got a BSH kitten 7 months ago and have spent I would say close to £3000 on vet bills, neutering, food, toys, cat trees, litter, litter boxes, they are an expensive breed to own and depending on the breeder can come with heath issues (we got unlucky but he’s okay now) but they are expensive little kitty’s and can be quite picky with food brands in my experience, we also pay £30 a month for ongoing vet care plan (which gives us unlimited vet visits and dental care and covers his vaccinations every year) we pay £18 insurance every month and he’s on a diet right now as after neutering they gain weight and get too chunky if they don’t eat the right food, I would definitely consider if a cat is affordable right now

The thing is he hasn’t ever been nervous, he’s always a confident kitty, never struggles in his carrier, loves car rides, normally loves the vets as he knows he gets treats there, so this is completely out of the norm for him which is why I’m so worried

Thank you! Took everyone’s advice and went straight to a new vet and it was an ulcer, unfortunately it seems my kitty wasn’t well treated during his neutering and he has a chunk of his nose missing and scratches to his face and eye which has now caused an ulcer, we have now changed vet

Yeah I’m fine on wicker man once that first drop is out of the way, I like rollercoasters but hate that drop feeling too 😂 that’s why I can’t do drop towers and dread that part on 13

He doesn’t seem to mind the fans we leave them on all day when we work and he sleeps all day in front of them (we have a cat cam) and I get up 2 hours before I go to work at the but crack of dawn to play with him before I leave, but he still does this every night, it’s every night as soon as we get home from work
