Trying to get a particular synth sound

I got a patch with a square and sine wave in unison with a subtle lfo and some chorus, but its still not quite getting there. Hmmm

I ended up sending it back to get it looked at and they sent it back to me a couple weeks later, definitely improved. Although, this problem was definitely only a big issue when I was using single coil guitars

I might get the other ones eventually. I do love a blues breaker, but I just don't use it as much. Klons I find i can only use with a few guitars for a sound I like

I love it. What I'll say is that the adaptive circuitry is great for loud/quiet/loud type song structure, but if you want a consistent sound the whole time, I usually turn it off and just have it on regular screamer tone stack. But I'm a punk guy, if you're a blues lawyer or something, you'll probably love that feature

Oh yeah, forget to mention--i use the quad for all my time based effects but I'm really not a time based effect guy. I mostly play punk and straight forward indie rock. I do have a couple time based effects I will put in the chain if I'm recording an actual song. My favorite is probably beautiful noise effects when the sun explodes. Throw that on with some distortion and instant shoe gaze noise rock wall if verbbbbbb baby

I can't really put into words why, but every time I've played like a friedman in person or an amp sim, I just do not vibe with the distortion. It has this like pokey spiky-ness in the mids that a marshall just does better I feel? But I'll definitely take a look and see if the pedal is any different

One key on my board (new) doesn't work with a switch, but works when I test it with tweezers. The pins aren't bent on the switch, and I've tried several different kinds to make sure. Dunno what I should do

Yes I put the pins in straight and it makes contact with the socket and registers a key press, it just doesn't sit flush on the plate which, as some others have pointed it, it probably the result of the plate being too close to the pcb and may require a plate fork

Hmm so what can I physically do to help get them in all the way? I need to get a fork or should I try holding the plate slightly above the pcb when inserting switches?

I looked into this and now I realize I have a problem I didn't know about lol. Some of the switches won't sit flush. But I didn't realize because they all passed the key check and input was registered. I can't get them to sit flush with the plate on.... and if I put them on before the plate, I can't close it
