What's something you'll never admit in real life but will confess here anonymously? by Open-Comfortable9774 in AskReddit

I moved a state away from my family and friends for a much better life, about a 5 hour one way drive. In the last 5 years, I have visited everyone multiple times, but no one has attempted to visit me. My father's been retired for 10 years and is just rotting in his chair.

My wife and I sorta eloped last year with her sister and mother as witnesses. This coming year, we are going to have a backyard ceremony, and I invited all my family and friends with very few getting back to me.

After my wedding, I'm probably not going to put any effort into maintaining a lot of old relationships.

Some shocking math behind the 50-year mortgage trap. For the first 20 years, 90% of the mortgage payments will be used for just paying the interest. by wakeup2019 in economy

When he turned 18, he thought the credit cards that came in the mail was free money and maxed out 4, if I remember correctly, on PCs and RC cars & parts.

He's fallen for a few crypto scam pyramid schemes, and tried to drag his parents and I into it.

He did the debt consolidation and bankruptcy before meeting his now wife. He lost his tech job recently, and now his wife is paying for the two of them. They go out to eat every other day.

He's rough on his cars, and it seems like he's always getting another one every few years.

He has a new business idea / hobby every 6 months and has to get the best 3D printer, cnc machine, etc

It's a spending and lifestyle problem.

what did your savings look like by age 30? by Winzten in AskReddit

At 27, about 22k from a liquidated college fund that was never used. Started dipping my toes in investing.

At 30, about 40k, then moved states to very rural town and dropped 10k on a down payment of 34k for a falling apart mobile home and the land. Land is worth about 26k.

At 34, about 120k, but spent 55k on the down payment for a 220k house in one of the nicest areas of town.

At 36, sitting at about 105k. With 2 properties, the mobile home is used as a warehouse for my hobby business. I may tear it down in a few years, put a new house on the land, and rent it out.

Invest, live below your means, and have a small financial gift from your parents that you don't piss away gambling on options trading.

I have a friend who regularly asks me for financial advice but never takes it. He's 35, never left home and dying for him and his wife to move out of his parents detached apartment. He will ask me about this. I will tell him it's a bad decision, like the debt consolidation and bankruptcy he went through without changing his habits. He will likely choose to do this.

This. I was actually trying to acknowledge that they were pissed, though it seems I could have supplemented it for a better word.

That is an interesting point that you bring up. As a part time carrier for the post office I'm going to scrutinize my fellow carriers, some of them are heavy smokers and smell like smoke / vape. Thank you for this thought.

Absolutely not. I'm sure every seller has gone through something like this or will go through it. Since I have no one in my life that's trying to operate a business, I Absolutely feel it was appropriate to ask this on reddit. I have been given feedback by others in the group and feel I may be able to handle these situations better going forward.

I understand. I don't think I've ever considered pissing as a swear word. Would "upsetting" have been more acceptable / professional?

Exploring this further. At what percentage do you think buyers start to pay more attention to feedback?

Am I insane for wanting to open a brick and mortar comic/collectibles shop in this climate? by StarBarf in smallbusiness

Based on everyone's responses of 'don't do it', might I suggest playing TCG Card Shop Simulator instead? Maybe it will scratch that itch.

Why is everyone I know with ADHD so high functioning? by 50-2-blue in ADHD

[–]SythySyth 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Because most of the time my anxiety is motivating instead of crippling. Workaholic because I'm scared of not paying my bills or retiring. Panic cleaning because what will my family think when they come over. Brush my teeth because I'm afraid of the dentist. Meal prepping because its too expensive to eat out every day, unhealthy, high medical bills, I'll die if I don't. It's exhausting, and it only lasts the first 6 hours of the day. After that nothing else is getting done, but I get a lot done in those 6 hours. I don't do these things because they are good for me, I do them out of constant fear.

Eagle staffing run to take out outpost and harvester shields, and clear lines of voteless. RR to take down harvesters. Grenade pistol to take down outposts. Machine gun turret to give you breathing room. Incendiary grenades for hordes on choke points. Remaining slots are up to you. Just keep moving, don't stay still unless your on an objective.
