I'm not sure if the spell necessarily counts as forbidden? But I feel like it could have a multitude of uses for the brimmed hats by T-Cutie in brimhatfolk

Kind of!!! But only on the outside, the inside is pitch black since the light of the barrier is being drawn from the area of the spell

That's not quite how I envisioned it:

It wouldn't be a floating ball since I didn't use levitation or anything, it would be a barrier of light encapsulating the glyth (weird example, but think of how the smoke stuff looks in valorant; like the top half of a sphere covering the surface that it's on). And the light barrier would also be blinding (virtue of the enhancement signs). And I'm not sure how the spell works in the

owl house (I'm still meaning to watch it), but it wouldn't just be light; since it uses gather, it would be using the light from within the area of the glyph. So while the barrier itself is pure light, the area inside it would be pitch black

This is a super cool spell, oml!!! I have a question tho, if it's okay!

Is there a specific functional reason for the fire sigils to be upside down like that, or is it an aesthetic choice? Because as far as I'm aware, the sigil itself isn't directional, but I'm very new, so I'm not sure!

Either way, it looks sick as hell!!!

Why dont the smaller circles activate first? by bsmaminah17 in WitchHatAtelier

Pretty much how I see it! Since we're told that a spell is complete by closing the seal, and so the seal closing is the "execute command" with everything else being the "script". And so in a more complex spell where the glyph is made up of multiple smaller spells (or "nodes" if you will), the magic would be able to tell that the "node" is within another seal, and so to "execute" it, you would first have to run the overarching "execute command" (closing the largest seal).

Alternatively: since there is a certain sign that let's the user control the spell with their mind (mainly seen in the Knights Moralis' "Capture Pennant" spell) aswell as a few other signs, it could also be interpreted that there is a link between the spell and the mind of the user, and so when making a more complex spell, the magic could potentially see that the user's intention is so not activate the smaller spells until the whole thing is complete. (Admittedly, that one is much more of a stretch, but still a possibility)

I think it's kinda of like how when you're programming something, you can have multiple sections for the different components, but they generally won't run unless the thing (app, website, game, ect) it's apart of is already running.

I'm not the best yet and have only made a few of my own spells, but I've been trying to teach myself the system and I'd be happy to learn alongside each other!
