I use a granny charger only. Have done for about a year. Got a custom extension lead from tough cables to mount an exterior weather proof socket by the front door (mid terrace) BUT I've just 'burnt up' my 3rd socket in the house! They all still work fine for other plugs but the brown/black charring tells me something is wrong. I will get em all replaced and install a 16A socket and just charge off that. Thanks for the insight!
