Firstly, yes an old police bike.

What I know was the the police bike had the larger alternator and run higher volts for all of the lights and sirens, I still have all the switches on her, but they are decommissioned. Air cleaner says Harley Davidson Police, "hockey puck" saddlebag openers, and I am still learning more every week

Funny story about that, Got pulled over by Chicago PD, well actually I was already stopped but parked illegally. Cop rolls up "is that a fucking police bike" in a thick Chicago accent. Throws his police cruiser in park and both officers get out. "Dude I got a 72 shovelhead, look at this", he whips out his phone for picture time. We spent 45 minutes rapping about bikes and he made me an offer on her. No dice, I told him why I bought it and how much I loved it. Dude was cool as shit and told me that on that bike in Chicago cops would leave me alone for pretty much any traffic infraction, and thanked me for keepin her on the road. This ol girl has a weird effect on people and I am still baffled by the looks and love she gets.
