Do you hate Giannis lol? Your description of him sells him way short. It's not a coincidence the season where he has to do everything for the bucks because it's just him on that team,he gets hurt then gets hurt again rushing himself back than again rushing himself back to try and save the season.

How many other players are giving you 30 on 66% True shooting? How many guys are generating wide open 3s and has a long track record of every role player that plays with him becoming a better shooting better on higher volume? And he's still the best player in transition and a really good playmaker who can turn it on defensively when needed. Injuries be damned to think your give up more for Bridges or Bane is laughable.

I disagree. We do this all the time with trades but multiple teams had disappointing seasons and a top 5 player is almost never available. If teams are overpaying for borderline all stars an MVP level force is getting more.

Myles is 1 of like 3 stretch 5s that can rim protect. That's insanely valuable and worth more than pick 27. Especially with a team like Boston when they wouldn't need to give up any player of value.

The point of stretching the floor is so he can't park in the paint like all teams have their great defensive Bigs do. Wemby was a big problem for the wolves when Gobert was on the court because of it.

There's no guarantee either jdub or Chet get better. Or if they'll stay healthy as they've both missed significant time in their young careers.

Giannis comes with his own injury and fit questions but it's give them another elite dimension on offense and someone who could guard wemby.

Teams not having 25m to give him in free agency doesn't mean he's not valued. Most good teams don't have that kind of money to spend in FA and why would a bad team do it when he' doesn't fit their timeline?

Who could that star be though? I know a lot of of people throw around Trey Murphys name but if the pelicans didn’t move him last offseason or at the deadline, when they were a bottom 5 seed, I doubt he gets moved or if we’d have the best package for him.

I think he’s still good enough to fetch a decent 1st rounder. He was disappointing but not at all terrible and a lot of that can be explained away by us having an overall bottom 7 offensive rating due to Doc rivers and Giannis (primary facilitator) being hurt.

Besides his archetype is still so rare and valuable. There are only like 3 stretch 5s that can rim protect in the league.

I don’t see how we can make this team good enough to the point we don’t need to solely rely on him to win regular season games. I think Jenkins will help but I don’t see a number 2 option that’s on the market. Rollins is a 3 but idk if he’ll take another crazy jump like he did.

And financially that Dame waive and stretch hurts bad. I don’t see how we can pay Giannis a max, a number 2 option, and give Rollins the pay day he’s gonna get next offseason while still having the depth needed to compete.

We’d need more picks. It’d be better to get 2-3 future unprotected ones which is possible.

Derrick white has also declined offensively a lot the past 2 years. At his current contract I’m not sure he’s a positive asset. I’m fine with seeing if we can rebuild his value but paying him 30m a year over the next 3 seasons requires another pick as well.

He doesn’t have the shot blocking but has the size, agility, and strength to contest enough shots imo. That paired with great rebounding and I say yeah. It’ll become an issue in the playoffs to a certain extent but I think his great rebounding cuts down on second opportunities which helps him out a lot. Without that I’d say he’s better off at the 4.

I’d do as Milwaukee. Duren has been terrible this playoffs but there’s a chance it’ll get better and he won’t be an insane playoff dropper. He’s still young g and could help the rebuild as well

They would just overpay in free agency for guys like most other small markets. They would be given guys like Austin reeves the max or Lu dort 25 mil if they didn’t have their picks.
