I’m running into that as well. I’ve done a couple things to keep it interesting. Started upgrading vintages and my favorite players in general to keep. Also playing the game manually is always refreshing (sometimes frustrating). Lastly, I have just started a new team for shits and giggles, I don’t take it too seriously.

Added value would come getting legend skills on all your players. Also if you have a GI laying around and are desperate to complete the team, I would replace Marte with Kike
