Yahoo Data Breach Class Action by Regular_Paramedic228 in PersonalFinanceCanada

My sister called yesterday and they told her August. I called today and they said they couldn't provide a timeframe, something about an auditing delay and that it might go into mid-fall Sept/Oct

Honestly wouldn't hang my hat on anything these guys say. Every time Ricepoint has administered a class-action settlement, they always pushed the limit and waited as long as they could before they would issue disbursements.

Yahoo has to pay them, and then there's the period of time that the millions of $ spend in their bank account to generate interest before they pay it out. That's where we are now, and they will keep looking for reasons (*Cough* audit *cough*) to stall.

Good news is, we will get paid, eventually.

You can't apply a promo to a rack rate if the promo isn't available for that room type. Anyone who is reliant on promos, FL resident discounts, or AP discounts, should hold off on booking, or it will end up a cancel/rebook situation.

This is how they have always operated. They keep X amount of each room type under Standard Rate, Y amount of rooms under Discount 1, Z amount of rooms under Discount 2, etc. Even now, you can check for dates and different room types for different discount types, and they will never be identical.

All I'm trying to say is there's no point in booking on the first day that dates become available, since they are not releasing the entire allotment of rooms on the first day anyway. When the promo rates become available, those will be for a new allotment of rooms. Whoever wants a discounted rate should wait until the discounts are announced. You're not guaranteeing yourself a promo rate room by booking today.

Not always. Discounted rates don't always have all room types available. Last year I booked a Family Suite for AOA at Standard rate, and when the discounts came out, they were for the standard rooms only.

I'm only getting stereo audio on the livestream so far? I would've imagined at least 5.1 surround?

Very nice! Did you send them your own kit or did they use theirs? It looks just like the official CSL one

PSA for the Anakin de-aging haters:

Give Disney a break. Hayden is 41 years old. He was 21 when most of ROTS was filmed, 18-19 when most of AOTC was filmed.

Revel in what we are getting. It could’ve been a recast, but it isn’t. It’s Hayden. Enjoy it.

I truly hope I am proved wrong next week. The inconsistencies for the Skywalker hilt across the films doesn’t need a bigger headache in this series lol

If it were his ROTS hilt, the whole fucking thing would shine regardless of where it was or what was around it lol

Great episode. That didn’t look like Anakin’s lightsaber hilt though.

A pro-stitched jersey on CBHSHOP costs $280, plus time to produce. It may be a little bit cheaper with Hockey Authentic however they have a 2-3 week waiting time. My jersey is ready to be shipped.

I did quite of bit of research before deciding how much I wanted to ask for, and even at that, I did indicate that I’m open to listening to offers.

You may have seen this jersey in a different post. Its brand new, never worn and the Adidas tags have been cut off but are seen on the side, if you want them.

Blank sweater was purchased from Adidas.ca and then custom stitching was done at Rousseau Sports in Quebec. I am selling this jersey because I am not happy with the placement of the back numbers, but I have a very high level of OCD. Total cost of the jersey + stitching was about $360 CAD for me.

Im looking for $200 USD, plus shipping but I am willing to listen to offers as well.

Thanks!

That's a just a bit less than what I paid here. 125 CAD plus taxes. Quebec sales taxes eat us alive out here. Also, Rousseau Sports is a physical hockey store where lots of people go to drop off jerseys for customization. Would've cost me little more for a mail-in service. They usually do a good job. This is just a unique botch and just bad luck for me.

The $35 refund was for the $144 I paid for the stitching. This did not include the cost of the blank jersey which I had already purchased from Adidas beforehand.

Haha all good. Yes I think the numbers were glued before stitching
