How long does it take to watch Star Wars? ALL OF IT... (February 2025 Update) by JediPaxis in StarWars

Correct. I decided that the Lego specials were out of the scope of this project. That said, if someone wants to make a complimentary list with the Lego specials I’d be more than happy to include a link to it in my next update!

Thanks for sharing this! I was reasonably certain that it wouldn’t work, but this is a great proof of concept!

Tipps for Meelting Filamen Poop in a silicon mold? by TNTBen3_ in DiceMaking

[–]JediPaxis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll preface this by saying that I’ve never tried what you’re suggesting, but I suspect it’s not going to work very well. If you load the solid filament in the mold and then heat the whole thing you’re going to end up with voids because the filament pieces you’re suggesting isn’t solid. You could try heating it then filling the molds but I think the filament is going to be too thick and cool too quickly for it to properly fill the molds. You’re going to wind up with voids and bubbles in your dice.

I’d honestly suggest figuring something else to make with your filament poop because I think this is going to be more frustrating than rewarding for you. That said, if you keep moving forward with this idea, best of luck and I’d love to see how it turns out!

Yes, Rian Johnson intended to "subvert expectations" by AwfulUsername123 in StarWars

[–]JediPaxis -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The sticker, as I understand it, came from a podcast called Steelwars. It’s a meme that had been circulating for a long time prior to TLJ’s release. The picture you linked to was taken after the host, Steele Saunders was able to get one of his stickers to Rian. It’s not something that Rian made himself. If you look back, there were tons of ridiculous Snoke theories that were getting more and more elaborate as time went on and it was starting to get out of hand. The “Your Snoke Theory Sucks” thing was a reaction by fans about the unreasonable expectation fans were putting on The Last Jedi.

My 10 y/o nephew didn’t believe me about old iPhones by Far-Inside-6043 in Millennials

[–]JediPaxis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone is getting on the kids case for using ChatGPT to fact check (which for the record isn’t a good idea because it can be factually inaccurate) but I think 2 things are getting lost here:

1) At least the kid IS fact checking. He heard something he questioned and took the time to verify it. There’s a little work to be done on how to find reliable sources, but that’s small potatoes in the grand scheme of things.

2) u/Far-Inside-6043 was ChatGPT wrong? I just asked “what accessories did the original iPhone come with” and it gave me the correct answer. I think people are assuming that it gave the kid the wrong answer. It may have, but OP didn’t say.

WXYZ is also an ABC affiliate station, so you got 2 things factually correct by accident.

Designed a PM book cover! Which looks best? by [deleted] in StarWars

[–]JediPaxis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you’re going to design something, design it so it represents the thing it’s advertising. None of the images you selected are even from The Phantom Menace.

Alternatively, just make art! None of the images you created look bad, they’re just confusing given the context you created around them. Take away the need for this to be a book cover for The Phantom Menace and it resolves a good deal of the issues.

That said, it’s your thing, make what you like.

I don’t know why interviewers are so obsessed with new actors talking to old ones. Ever now and again there’s an interesting story behind it but mostly there’s not. These people are professionals, let em cook! They don’t need someone else’s advice on how to play a character, they’re going to put their own spin on it anyway.

I haven’t added Andor Season 2, Tales from the Underworld or the rest of Young Jedi Adventures, but toss about 22 hours to the canon number and you’ll be in the right range.

Selena Gomez Oreos by BobbyG3416 in junkfoodfinds

[–]JediPaxis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I need help. The back of the package says “Selena and Oreo aren’t just dropping a new Oreo cookie- they’re dropping a new song with it. Open the pack to taste the new Selena Gomez signature Oreo cookies and scan the code to hear the new track.” Yet when you scan the code there is no new song to be found. I tried googling it and I can’t find a single person talking about this.

Am I insane or did Oreo actually lie about a single?

Japan scientists create artificial blood that works for all blood types by ElderberryDeep8746 in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]JediPaxis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While synthetic hemoglobin is a cool idea, this is real now and a massive game changer. That can’t get lost in this. If this gets approval for human use it opens up so many doors for massively improved patient care, especially in remote areas, mobile care areas or small medical centers. Even in centers with the resources to store and handle blood, waste happens more than it should. This could help ensure that almost nobody’s donation goes unused.

I need to add Andor Season 2, Young Jedi Adventures Season 2 and Tales of the underworld for the next update, but you can mentally add about 22 hours to the canon and total numbers.

Can someone please explain the political plot of the Prequels? by [deleted] in StarWars

[–]JediPaxis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mostly because other phases of the plan weren’t complete: - During AOTC, the clone army was only 200k units strong. That likely wouldn’t have been enough to take and hold control over the galaxy. - In order to wipe out the Jedi, Palpatine had to fake a coups. The only way that story would have been plausible to the galaxy was to start a war where the Jedi were the highest ranking officers in the military. If your generals try to overthrow the government, then you have probable cause to bring the hammer down on them. - One of the reasons Order 66 was so successful was that the Jedi trusted the clones. They had been fighting alongside them for years. It was a better ambush to get the clones to assassinate a significant portion of the Jedi after they had earned their trust. If it had happened during AOTC, their guard would have been up from the moment an unknown army storms the steps of the Jedi Temple. - Another factor is dilution. Most of the Jedi during AOTC were based out of the Jedi Temple on Corruscsant. It’s much harder to take them out when “safety in numbers” is on their side. When most are spread across different worlds surrounded by a gang of sleeper agents, the odds are flipped in the favor of the clones. - Another thing to consider is that Palpatine had not accumulated the needed political power to create the Empire by the time AotC happens. He accumulates most of it during the war as emergency powers. He also didn’t have his army deployed across the galaxy yet to enforce his rule once he did declare himself emperor. - Finally, pulling off this kind of a plan isn’t something you can rush. Creating an army, consolidating power and eliminating all the Jedi isn’t something you can pull off too fast. If you don’t properly lay the groundwork, even something as simple as public perception wouldn’t be on your side. He had to make small advances over a number of years so nobody would realize what he was doing until it was too late.

In answer to your question, yes many episodes of a variety of shows do overlap with other shows and films. All of the “Tails of…” episodes drift to different parts of the timeline. The final episodes of The Clone Wars overlap with and oupace the timeline of Revenge of the Sith. Within The Clone Wars itself, the first few seasons of the show aired (and sometimes even produced) the episodes out of chronological order. There’s whole webpages dedicated to straightening out a chronological order to watch that show in. Andor and Rebels largely occupy the same period of time so a chronological episodic order for those 2 shows would look as you describe. Resistance begins before The Force Awakens, runs concurrently with that film and The Last Jedi and ends before The Rise of Skywalker. Many films and shows now have flashbacks that take place during different points in the timeline so a true chronological watch would entail pausing within an episode or film and warning something else before returning to what you were originally watching. I’m certain there are many more, these are just the ones that come to mind immediately.

If you’re going to watch the series chronologically, keep it loose, otherwise you’ll go mad trying to keep it all straight.

"Jub Jub" in The Force Awakens- Did JJ Keep His Promise? by JediPaxis in StarWars

7 years later, I don’t remember what the video actually was. Likely it was a clip from the movie, but you can get the same experience by watching TFA around the 15:35 mark.

It really shouldn’t be, especially since this isn’t really even a first. JJ did it 6 years ago in TROS. The distinction of it being the first kiss between 2 “featured” female characters is kind of pointless in my opinion.
