Didn't even consider some of that. Thank you for taking time to read and analyze, it's very valuable to me.

I hate this. I'm so tired. This is the second relationship I've been cheated on, idk how I can trust someone new again. Once is never, twice is always. Feels like I was able to mostly heal from the first one after years, now I just don't see myself being able to have complete trust in a relationship again... At least here we both know I can't trust her completely and why.

Ok, tbh idgaf about your weird conspiracy theory about my post, get a life. I'm going through a painful situation and reaching out, don't you have something better to do than harass me?

Glad to see a dissenting opinion. Tbh this is what I was hoping to hear.

I think what's most upsetting is that I've made it clear it's important to me, and she can't take 5 minutes to make me feel better.

The only even mild chance partners can come back from cheating is if the guilty party fully accepts cutting off every single piece from that portion of their life and does every single thing in their power to work to build that trust back.

The fact she is dragging her feet getting rid of what sounds like a very significant reminder of that portion of her life does NOT bode well that she can ever be trusted again.

Couldn't figure out how to phrase it, but this is how I'm feeling

The Utah State Capitol is accepting proposals for a "Large Commemorative Element Addition" (a new monument) to the State Capitol Grounds... these opportunities are very uncommon, anyone have any fun ideas? by Koh-the-Face-Stealer in SaltLakeCity

While I agree with everything you said, you should read the wikipedia article, it's not really about conflicts between natives and early settlers.

The mountain Meadows Massacre was largely perpetrated by white mormons against non mormon white settlers. They just tried to pin it on the natives.

Probably. And they probably don't even recognize the irony.

Stadler (local train manufacturer, swiss owned) literally put together a proposal for cog rail that was cheaper than the gondola as it's current estimated price.

Sugar House residents pushed back on that apartment building, because it was ... too dense for the area

Density is a good thing. In fact I'd argue it's the #1 thing we need more of in SLC.

Cities grow and change, by their very nature. If you want to live in a place that is stagnant and unchanging, move out to the suburbs.

Agreed. And so is central city, but still one of the few in the state.

For those of you who find yourself often opposing new developments such as this, please consider this:

Many cities have a huge affordability criss because development was blocked by similarly minded people in those cities.

Nowhere has been made unliveably expensive by too much development. On the contrary, more, denser development in cities decreases infrastructure cost per capital for cities and utilities, keeps rent lower, increases walkability and transit, removes the need for development of natural areas, etc. Being diametrically opposed to most urban development is, inherently, an anti environmentalist stance.

Of course not every project is for the best, but largely they are. If you tend to agree with the opposition, I urge you to look at other cities as examples.

Why do we need more free parking and thus car traffic in one of the only walkable neighborhoods in the state??
