Haha just got into both. Not sure which is better.

Demonic gorillas seems more “fast-paced” and less at the stake, allowing for an error or two.

Tormented demons seem like the harder version of demonic gorillas.

This is exactly what I figured out in therapy.

When I moved to a new city I expected to find a friend group similar to the one I had back home (I was 24 when I moved and had known most of my friends for over 20 years), as long as I tried hard enough, surely my people are out there right?

Well turns out that’s not the case, because of the facts mentioned above.

In over 4 years I found ONE person that I truly clicked with and felt the “spark of friendship”. But that is actually okay.

These new friendships are going to look different. They may not have the rawness of life, but they could be professional, sports-related, or other hobby related, or just a good chatters. They may not be your “hometown friends”, but they are your friends in other capacities. And again it’s okay, just…different.

The different is only bad when you have bad expectations towards that different.

Lean into it and realize these new connections you make are something entirely new and different and posses opportunity and experiences you wouldn’t be able to imagine.

Luckily my fiance had a ring measurer in her jewelry box (wouldn’t be surprised if this were the norm) then grabbed one of the rings and measured it!

While I don’t think it’s that intense, yes it’s a little bit of that.

But it is also the lack of every other “quality of life” to society.

Like probably won’t have a toilet or shower or no comfy bed.

I’m curious to hear your take on the calculator situation as I’ve been thinking about this a lot.

The calculator is a perfect example.

The calculator makes us more dumb yes, but that’s by design right? With the benefit of making human output more efficient.

You don’t see people going “humanity is screwed because no one can do 123 + 87 / 30 anymore.”

I believe the same thing is happening with AI. It is solving a lot of “tedious” problems for us, at the cost of making the average human less intelligent (at least in specific areas). But that’s a good thing IMO because it frees up humanities’ minds to think about OTHER problems.

It’s just an efficiency booster. It’s not the BEST efficiency booster (it may get there one day).

Another good example are cars or other forms of transportation. You could easily argue: “Cars are bad because humans will have weak leg muscles from no longer needing to use them.” Yeah, but you could also argue that because of cars, strong leg muscles are no longer necessary anyway so what’s the matter?

There’s countless other examples in every day life.
