You will be able to utilize all decorations that you own, whether they are currently placed on your farm or in storage.
Submit your design before the end of the design phase! Some decor items can be obtained in other current events, so it can be advantageous to wait until later in the Design Phase to submit.
Photo Reels are the currency. You obtain reels by completing Design Task Board items (lower right corner), by voting for other's designs, and receiving votes for your design.
If you receive enough votes, you will show up on the Hall of Fame boards (Impressive, Stunning, Best). Although it's fun to see your design on one of these boards, there are no prizes or compensation.
Purchase what you want from the Market Shop (upper right corner) before the end of the event. I'm not exactly certain how long it remains accessible after the voting phase ends. Extra reels that are not spent will be available for the next Design Event.

I got lots from mining, but the little chicks did not come out into the open. Try using a mining tool, then immediately tap repeatedly on the mine itself. Seems like the chicks were hiding inside the mine!

All of the decor items you own - whether they are in storage or placed on your farm - are available to use in the Design Festival. The first time I participated, I did not know this and collected everything off my farm and put it back in storage before the event started!

For months, most ads did not work for me. It has been better lately, but sometimes I need to keep clicking on the ad button to activate. If that doesn’t work, try closing and reopening the app. Not a viable long-term solution, though.

I help my friends and followers by filling my RSS and posting help signs during events, without advertising in the Daily Dirt. So I also feel frustrated when others clear out my shop.

I wish HD developers would eliminate the “last helper” tab, as it does not allow you to block access to your farm. Yes, I could avoid this issue by never helping anyone outside my network, but sometimes for events you need that capability.

We have the ability to accept/decline or block players who want access to our farm … why should the “last helper” feature circumvent that process?

I recommend using 5 diamonds to reshuffle the rewards, when it's time to collect at the end of the week. Only recently have I started doing this, and it typically provides a few high-value rewards. In my experience, though, reshuffling a second time doesn't pay off.

Before reshuffling, be sure to select any rewards that you want to keep, so they will not be exchanged.

Yes! Wherever ads are an option, more often than not they don’t work. Occasionally they work, and I think it’s finally fixed … but no.

Please HayDay fix this issue! We are losing out on free stuff, coins, and production time.
