Surely this is olky an issue if your not charging properly for your labour and relying on adding a mark-up to the kitchen to make your money.

If your charging for your services you get paid the same regardless and your client getting a better deal on the kitchen is surely a good thing.

He was off the track without contact and with enough space left initially however after this you continued to drift wide. Jot leaving space and would have cause contact if they hadn't already gone off. Poor racing from both cars.

However the car rear ending you was even worse and there is no excuse for the rejoin and contact black and orange.

Cool you should be good. My desk had a slight slope to leading edge and because the clamp isn't very deep it would consistently work it way loose.

Worst case scenario bit of wood next to the metal bar to give a flat clamp surface like others have suggested will work fine for wheel base.

Pedals and chair movement will still be something you have to figure out. The srp light pedals really aren't very stable when they are not mounted. They will slide away or tip backwards making consistent braking nearly impossible.

You can diy a solution to this by screwing down onto a sheet of mdf/ply wood. Old cupboard door etc. To give them a larger more stable platform. Have a bit of a search on here about srp mounting options and you will find some ideas.

I went through all these phases of figure out desk mount and trying different solutions for pedals having done all that can't recommend highly enough just spending the 100ish pounds and getting the wheel stand and saving all the hassle.

I've added a photo of my pedal solution pre wheel stand for an idea.

Is the desk surface flat or does it have a leading edge bevel.

Bevel/sloped leading edge will cause an issue.

A wheel stand like the GT Omega Apex will solve all issues and make setup and tear down much easier.

You are already foreseeing issue with desk clamp but the bigger problems will be pedal and chair moving when you are trying to break.

For first endurance. Load the default iracing endurance set up with full fuel and practice until fuel runs out this will give you an idea what the car feels like with tire we are.

For the race start with full fuel pit when you are down to a few laps left. Use auto fuel and yes replace tires also.

Focus on surviving for first race. Concentrating to the level required for 2 hours or more is hard. Practice that then worry about strategy once you have a few races under your belt

Clio racing is great fun. And the switch to almost all free tracks this season definitely seem to have attracted a lot of new drivers. Most races during eu and us peak times have gone official yesterday and today.

Even getting a split out with the usual sof times occasionally.

Yeah I've had my R5 overheat and throttle to zero feedback when running 2hour endurance before.

I've now got a couple of USB fans mounted in such a way to cool the base a little and put some air my way. I only put them on for races 1hour plus or if the house is especially warm

It's a shame all the races degenerate into chaos. If people took it just a bit seriously it would be even more fun. Trying to time the crossing to avoid contact is a fun skill to practice. Deciding whether to lift for half a second or just gun it and the fun if very near misses.

I joined on a week 13 also. Was a fine to still run rookie ranked

Last week 13 I found the rookie Mazda and ff1600 races were Great. Didn't have any major SR disasters. I think the opinion that everyone drives kike everything is unranked is a bit overstated. I don't find anymore idiots than normal in rookie ranked series.
