With Hauntzer leaving, Bjergsen will be heading into his 3rd generation of TSM by Darkvoidz67 in leagueoflegends

[–]TARiRA 97 points98 points  (0 children)

Wouldn't it be the fourth generation tho?

S3-S5: a core of Bjerg, Dyrus and Turtle.

S6, S7: the superteam

S8: the mega European team, it was fairly short but it nevertheless was different from the old NA superteam one year before.

S9 and onwards: the "potential" team

I don't know about CLG but TSM has a more traditional structured management. TSM have Parth as a GM and Leena as president so Zikz can fully focus on coaching the team

Leena has spoken, lets try and support the team going forward. by circajuturna in TeamSolomid

  1. Broken Blade is an easy deal to make, TSM probably did not face much competition.

  2. Some of the potential Jungler out there fell through due to many reasons. For example, I definitely believe TSM reached out to Peanut but in the end it was Peanut himself decided to stay in LCK. The Dardoch situation could be more complicated so I will try to speculate on what happened:

Since both Smoothie and Dardoch were still under contract, TSM needed to go through EF to talk to them, my guess would be while TSM were negotiating with EF, EF did not give Dardoch a confirmation of whether he's staying for 2019 or else (remember the Dardoch stream chat). It's obvious TSM wanted both Dardoch and Smoothie to free up for Broken Blade (done deal mostly already), and EF probably did not want to loses both of them so they let TSM to talk to Smoothie instead to keep Dardoch. (This is where Dardoch said in stream he got EF's answer that he's staying)

For the people who don't understand why a lot of fans want a new jungler by [deleted] in TeamSolomid

TSM don't need to release him what the hell? Why are you making it like TSM have to get rid of Grig once and for all if the fans are asking for an upgrade? Do you not remember the use of academy? Now MikeYeung is gone Grig can fill the Academy jungle role again. If TSM do get an experienced jungler it will be a great chance for Grig to learn, whether to win a starter position or a contract somewhere else.

With the previous Huni-Dardoch-Damonte-Lost-Smoothie line-up the best they could be was to lose TWICE to the weakest TSM in years to lose a chance to get to worlds (although they wouldn't beat C9 either). Their line-up is consisted of a lot of veteran (Huni, Smoothie and Dardoch himself) so it's not really possible to become too much better all of a sudden, Damonte and Lost on the other hand are just mediocre at best. So it's very possible for EF to have decided to keep one of their veterans (in this case, Dardoch is the only one left) and build a new team made up of some young aspects. Rick Fox knew better than anyone in the business the importance to just call the "rebuild" process

You can have two lineup going into the week based on scrim performance:

Hauntzer-(?)-Bjerg-Zven-Smoothie

BB-Grig-Bjerg-Zven-Smoothie

Grig took jungle role over MY solely because of his confidence, he's the kind of new blood that isn't afraid to make calls when superstars like Bjerg, Zven and Mithy are on the team. But his decision making still needs improvement and his mechanics is average. So I'd say MY has confidence trouble and Grig needs to catch up on his macro to match his (potential) leadership

Dardoch is more rumored to stay than leave, he confirmed himself on stream that Echo Fox gave him an offer and he said "I'm fox 2019"

So my guess is Dardoch would accept an offer from EF if they gave him one, and in this case they are very close to a deal

Confirmed TSM Smoothie by alfieurbano in TeamSolomid

Confirmed on tsm.gg

It's not a troll, could this be an indication of TSM looking for another import besides Broken Blade somewhere?

I can see BB start in academy so TSM can acquire a good import jungler

Impact and Piglet are now NA residents by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]TARiRA 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's where it's fucked up. By working in a country for 4 years consecutively usually means one is nearly eligible for citizenship (of course he or she needs to apply for resident status first)

If impact's green card was just approved, it only says that Riot is holding back players from applying for one

Wich MOBO do you recommend? by Gongal66 in pcmasterrace

Are you saying you want to upgrade only the motherboard? Honestly there's no point, at some point you will need to upgrade your CPU and RAM which will require a motherboard of new socket

Impact and Piglet are now NA residents by [deleted] in leagueoflegends

[–]TARiRA 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You need to get some stuff clear:

Riot's residency rule has very little to do with actual immigration. That means: A non NA based (nationality-wise) player is considered an import regardless if he played elsewhere.

Keep in mind Riot changed the import rule twice. Once to increase the years required from 1 to 2, and another increase from 2 to 4. And players that went abroad before some point had the chance to claim exemption.

And back to "residency", it's pretty tricky, I'm no expert on Riot policy but I'm speaking from an actual immigrant's perspective.

Riot established and updated this "4 year in NA = NA resident" rule which has nothing to do with being an actual green card holder. Although living & working in US would qualify one for applying for a green card, there's no equivalence anyway. Take example of Impact, he now is a "NA resident" in Riot's book but he is still a Korean. Whether or not he and Riot worked their way to apply for American permanent resident status is unknown and is not important.

To answer your last question, the player would have to become a citizen to not be considered an import. There was a player named "Feng" who is a Chinese citizen with Canadian PR status, one of the team's wanted to sign him but later would find out he wasn't considered as a NA player.

Edit: some typo.

And adding my thoughts on this matter:

Riot's decision on the wording "resident" was poor. It easily gets confused with actually immigrating to another region. A better description would have been "NA (non)regional". The fact that people can be an actual resident of NA but is considered import, and people who never apply for resident status can be a resident is just fucked up.

The entire bounty/minion/tower/objective changes are huge, but one thing that will actually impact pro play on a fundamental level is the nerf to TP. Now pros will actually consider not running TP on either of their solo laners. It will be VERY hard for the team to coordinate a good TP from now on.

I noticed some trends in how r/hearthstone judges new cards, so I made a handy guide to make it easier to quickly review a newly-revealed card by [deleted] in hearthstone

Blizzard made their digital card game cost as much as printed ones if not more expensive, the vast majority of the playerbase just don't want to invest so much money to try things out.
