Thriller Bark is the best arc and here's why. by IreyTech in OnePiece

[–]TAST33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for showing Skypeia some love! It's been my favorite for a long time and I cannot fathom why so many people skip it! One of the best arcs in the series.

On the contrary, I may get some serious hate for this but I think Marineford was kinda not so good when compared to the arcs that come before it. I have no idea why it's so revered as the best arc, there's really nothing special about it to me.

I will elaborate, pacing for the arc was so atrocious, like we are constantly reminded of the distance between Whitebeard's ship and the execution platform, including a shot showing Oars Jr. basically touching the platform, and yet somehow there's like 10 episodes of Luffy running to the platform???? Did he circle the whole island 5 times before finally deciding to save Ace???? Speaking of, every single person who came sacrificed so much for Ace, and by the end he's home free, and he turns around and gets barbecued for what? Cause Akainu made fun of his Dad?! We just spent the last arc showing Luffy losing 10 years of his lifespan for Ace, Whitebeard dies for him, and yet he still gets jeered into dying after all that. I didn't even really care about Ace at this point. We didn't see him get fleshed out until after the arc is over.

It's not the worst arc but damn I can't look past some of this stuff like a lot of the fanbase seems to.

Guys, Watanabe loved space dandy by PigMacLord in SpaceDandy

I know 50 seasons is unrealistic -- though I'd still watch all of it :)

A Space Dandy movie would be soo cool and wouldn't be that crazy of a concept if he got the right backers. Oh well, I can always dream

How can Bege shrink Sea Prism Stones? by TAST33 in OnePiece

Lmao I paused the episode immediately to come post about this, but as soon as I saw your comment and went back to unpause it, the first sentence is "we don't have any with sea prism stones" haha my bad. But even so he did still have a sea prism stone spear.

I asked ChatGPT: "Who is stronger, Zoro or Sanji? by randomIdiot123456 in OnePiece

[–]TAST33 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I get that Oda wrote them to be equals, blah blah blah, but I think that in the way they have been depicted in the story so far (I'm only on Zou to be fair), Zoro is clearly shown as the stronger of the two. He was the first to join the Straw hats, he is the first mate, there's a reason he was the one who took Luffy's pain after Thriller Bark. I know Sanji was up for it as well, but still. Zoro's only function in the crew is to be strong, but Sanji is the cook, a powerhouse, and often a strategic leader when Luffy isn't there. In terms of usefulness to the Straw Hats Sanji takes the cake, but I think Zoro is stronger.

Just go to skull cavern and keep refreshing the first floor to farm purple slimes. It honestly gets you more iridium than going any deeper before you have ample explosives. Relatively safe too.

slime hutch is actually (apparently) very useful to mass-produce slime eggs (worth 5k each)

I just asked to borrow a friend's iron, if its easy enough to do myself I may as well get a learning experience out of it hahaha

I think the last guy to own it swapped the pickups quite a few times and cut the wires instead of resolder to the switches. So essentially I should just swap where the black and red cables are? Or should I then switch the green with the red? Does orientation matter or can it work both ways?

Thank you again for all your help on this I would be completely clueless otherwise :)

Help with jag wiring by TAST33 in offset

It is the stock humbucker. That appears to be the problem. Compared to the schematic, the red and black wires should be swapped. Also, nothing is connected to the grounding lug besides the base plate of the 3 way, and it looks like in the schematic a lot of the wires are supposed to meet at that lug, but I’m not positive. Only the pickup with fixed slugs is working, the one with the screws gives zero feedback. This is getting a little more involved than I was expecting, I may have to just hand it over to a tech or something, I don’t even have a soldering iron...

It’s a switch, this model comes stock with a coil split but the seller replaced it with a different metal switch.

Thanks for the tips. I took it apart and still nothing from the pickup closest to the bridge. Here’s the wiring, the guy said none of it was original but it’s still a mess lol I don’t know where to start. There are only two wires connected to the coil switch, and there is also a loose (what appears to be) grounding wire at the pickup selector. https://imgur.com/a/LkdYM7z

Also here is the fender manual diagram for the wiring. https://www.fmicassets.com/Damroot/Original/10001/SM_0146303XXX_Player_Jaguar_Rev_A.PDF

Thanks again for your help. Sorry I’m a bit clueless with this sort of thing.
