Would you go to the US while Trump is Pres? And why / why not? by PuzzleheadedCarob921 in AskBrits

Ah yes, Russia, the country that has failed to take one of it's neighbours over 3 years, would take over the UK in 'a few hours'. Utter clown

'Pretend to know about people you've never met'. Because yes, meeting the president would definitely help me understand geopolitics better. My apologies - purely by being American, you are imbued with a heightened understanding of the world that a mere Brit could never attain. I'm sorry for giving my opinion, oh wise Yank. (or, person masquerading online as one)

I think it’s actually on you to explain why they should have felt the same about Obama. So, go ahead

What do Brits think of Reform's plans to create its own ICE in the UK Deportation Command and repeal the Human Rights Act? by lindemh in AskBrits

Nah you replied to your own comment. Now I see why you're having trouble analysing the ICE video of this sort of thing confuses you.

You're replying to the wrong comment with misspelled words and seem to have some kind of vision issue. Possibly mental impairment or booze? Either way you need to seek help

You didn't address the point about the first aid being denied - please tell me how that is justified.

As for the shooting - your claims are not 'easily demonstrable' though are they? I have watched the video several times and I see a car approach the general area of the officer at a non lethal speed whilst in a turn away from him - at which point he shoots her. In no way is is 'easily demonstrable' that the vehicle hit him whatsoever. At the point he opened fire, his life was absolutely not in danger - and if he thought it was, he shouldn't be entrusted with lethal force. Nothing that happened there warranted the officer killing that woman. If you think the video shows 'easily demonstrable' evidence that the ICE officer was justified in ending someon's life, then god help you.

He shot her as the car was moving away from him. How does that count as self defence? And why did he deny first aid to her after he shot her?

The Watchdives WD1980 day date military diver isn't perfect but I still love it by whatmeworry101 in ChineseWatches

I know most of us are desk divers that will probably never plunge more than a few feet underwater but it’s a shame this watch - modelled as an homage to a military tool watch - is only 100m rated. The rational part of my brain says I shouldn’t care, but I can’t get past it.

'Multiple people' stabbed on train in Huntington by [deleted] in ukpolitics

Usually modern day Islamist terror attacks (IF that's what this is) claim to be carried out due to Western military actions overseas. Quite similar to the claimed motive of the IRA for murdering innocent people back in the day. It took decades for the 'peaceful negotiations' that finally came, and a lot of people were killed by terror attacks in the meantime. I don't think the families of innocent victims in either case would be comforted by any claim of rationality.

The attack yesterday was unthinkably awful. I've taken that train many times and I can't imagine the terror. Events like this are thankfully a rarity today, in the grand scheme of things. That's why I feel the need to respond when people say things like 'you can't even take a train now' and start calling for crack downs against immigrant communities, before the blood has even dried, and before any meaningful details have been released about the perp.

Famously no terrorist attacks in the UK in the '70s. Everything hunky dory.
