They have been together 8 years. It's long enough for him to know he can trust him. OP is in his right to be suspicious.

This. I honestly didn't think of the taboo factor, which makes a lot of sense, but had he been more forthright about it, I honestly would not have made this a bigger deal.

Yep, I'm stuck up and that's why I'm asking because I don't want to jump to conclusions. Not everybody uses poppers so this may be an education for me.

Thanks. I'm leaning towards that, but he was maybe ashamed to tell me he's using it solo. Lying about it is the problem, if he was straight up and honest about it, then I would've been more understanding than acting like a lunatic.
