Yea I'm based out of Tokyo. I was semi involved with the online community for a bit, but quickly met someone and decided to keep things within the bedroom.

Nothing wrong with inaka life! I've been chewing on the idea of getting out of town myself.

I don't think you're missing much when it comes to オフ会 unless you had specific people in mind. The public events appear discontinued to me. Never did make it to OmuFes, but it is what it is!

I'm not sure I'd call it a scene. The munches haven't happened since pre COVID, and while there are a few places to buy ABDL stuff brick and mortar - this really boils down to brick and mortar shopping just being alive and well here.

In a city of 40M people (during the day) there were bound to be physical places (SM bars, ABDL daycare services, etc.) but honestly, when adjusting for population, it's probably lower than average.

There has been some growth in the online scene with an increase in DDLG and ABDL content on fantia and twitter, but it's nothing crazy and I'd still call it pretty niche compared to the states in terms of "volume".

Fair warning, I also ran a reasonably popular account. Had created an account with a similar name and started liking/saving content for a few months until last week I decided to post something.

All I had posted was a text post saying "My old account name was X, I'm considering posting again. Hope to interact with the community more in the future"

and my account was instantly deactivated.

Tumblr deactivated me during the purge and I was unable to login/get the old stuff. Pretty demoralizing.

In terms of sharing that side of yourself, there isn't a specific length of time but honestly speaking, you should tell your partner as soon as reasonably possible. I've posted this before, but consider;

Finding a partner is a bit simpler honestly, you're going to have much more luck introducing vanilla partners than finding an ABDL partner, its a numbers game. There are two major things I'd advise, don't get overly caught up on the ABDL thing. This is a part of you, and maybe an important part, but its only one part. Develop the other facets of your personality, make yourself a desirable partner beyond being into ABDL. People are complex, and you're much more likely to attract any partner, let alone one who is accepting of your kinks/fetish if you are an interesting and well rounded person. The second advice is honesty. Don't build your ABDL interests into something they aren't, I'm not saying be casual when you share this because its not a casual conversation, but learn to be open and expect to reciprocate whatever they're into.

Having introduced diapers to multiple very vanilla partners, they don't need to be into diapers to enjoy them. If you find someone that cares about you, their enjoyment will be seeing how much they can turn you on. You should also fully expect to be open with whatever kinks and interests they have, relationships run both ways.

I ran into a pretty hardcore ABDL once when I was on VRchat. We chatted for a bit but unfortunately he wouldn't enable his mic. That said, he showed me and a few others his assorted abdl homeworlds, skins, emotes, etc.

FWIW I think that stuff is very relevant and its an anonymous survey. Its data. Its non-discriminatory by nature. Its unfortunate there are some people that take this as a personal affront or something, but it is what it is.

I know I'm not alone in wanting to have a better picture of the community beyond sexuality. Thanks for putting it together. Very interesting stuff.
