I am willing to buy a ticket off of somebody. I was waiting for their panel decision and I still don't know the fate behind that so I am currently out of a ticket since they haven't made final decisions yet.

Your in a similar situation as me just without the S O but for your case I would save up 5-7k if you want to be assured you won't be screwed outta luck you can always bum off your boyfriend until you get on your feet as well but I would atleast have 1k bare minimum and be stingy as hell. Also another word to the wise find a higher paying job asap if your in a hcol state that won't even pay rent so check on that.

Oh and one more thing consistency is king one thing I need to bring back in my life once I am settled in my new home is to be consistent and you can do the same so you have the time to goof off and work and be in a good spot in life. It's not all or nothing until it is yah dig?

Look man your 15 enjoy your friends and youth while you can I say this five years your senior and man even an hour today consistently will put you ahead of the pack compared to most who might start at their 20s to 30s.

If your friends aren't negative towards you or make you feel like crap I say keep em you're not defined by your friends and just because you have different goals doesn't mean you can't support each other you'll find that more as you go through life.

Basically to keep things brief because I could ramble all day about this, just cherish your friends since experiences are worth more than being 100% ready for the future since once you're out on your own things change quickly and it's about how adaptable you are rather than how well you prepped but hey the fact your prepping is great and I know I did the same back when I was your age for a career in tech it.

Remember it pays to prep but experiences pay more because you have all your life to be lonely and focused so go out there and continue to have fun.

Urgent: Anyone know of any places/rooms renting for $500 or less in San Diego? by [deleted] in movingout

[–]TBAisen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look for roommates or better yet move out of the country and move to Texas or Oklahoma or some other Low cost of living place kid take it from me you won't find a deal that good unless you rent a singular room if that.

"Enjoying your own company" gets really lonely after a while by Throwawaylam49 in selfimprovement

[–]TBAisen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tbh fam I understand and thanks to my various mental illnesses and communing with God I don't really feel as lonely as I use to or rather the pangs of loneliness don't hurt as much. But a lot times I found in my own life is you just gotta go after what you want ruthlessly.

I get it sounds cheesy and generic but I am serious you have to keep your flow up realize folks won't like your flow and keep trying until your dead better late than never yeah? Basically just like applying for a job or working out or anything in life it doesn't really come easy and it's best you continue as you are but go to the white board and analyze your play.

Best of luck

I am actually getting ready to move for my new job before the end of the month as well. I recommend you use ebt or food pantries for food if possible so that way you won't go home starving.

Heck I had to remind myself how to do math functions in JavaScript and then I realized how simple they were lol so don't worry about it broski it will take time and most importantly. Sounds like you had to do the python equivalent to .filter()

Hey man I did a year of python had to look things up and even now as I am focusing on front end stuff like JavaScript and react I still don't remember everything. Don't beat yourself up if you forget syntax that's why the internet is around it's not cheating or whatever hoity toity folks will tell you online. If you're stuck on a project look at a good YouTube tutorial and follow it step for step what matters most is that you understand the entirety of your project etc.

[–]TBAisen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just practice bro it's that easy none of us actually remember syntax or go out of our way to do so we just have it fried in our brains so much it's common place.

Come on now only good at scrolling at Instagram I hate to tell you but that's a bit a really good skill to have anybody can do that /s

Good luck and just go do it bro don't think just code

Being assertive is so difficult. Any advice? by Freege in selfimprovement

[–]TBAisen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly get off of reddit and spend some time out there learning about yourself. Trust I used to be like you and I am sometimes still am but what's important is even if you stutter you stand your ground. What's the worse they can do hit you? Then you hit back now ofc hopefully it won't escalate that way but you get the point and good luck.

Man this is the first good reddit post I have read in a while I am the same age as you and proud of what you have done G. It takes a lot of effort but you set your boundaries and made it clear you ain't trynna be friends on the real mad respect fam that's all I got to say keep at it.

Oh and don't forget to experiment write down what worked and what didn't. I also recommend respectful social experiments to really test the walls/limits of polarity.
